Chapter 6 - BULLIED chapter 5

Everywhere was busy as always. People talking, walking to class, some at the hallway. Marcy walked alone minding her business and trying not to hit anyone. She was labeled alone. She had no protection either from a guardian angel or from the upper class and who would want someone that was open to demons.

So, she was practically alone.

And when the whole school knew this, she became a subject to bullying.

Marcy walked to class thinking of how she'd spend her days as an outcast especially when she was open to evil spirits. Not looking at where she was going, she bumped into someone.

I'm dead.

"Seems like this loser can't watch where she's going", the person she quacked said dragging her hair. Marcy tried to surpress it but it was too much. The pain was excruciating. It reminded her that she was a nobody trapped in a world filled with elites.

Marcy couldn't hold it any longer. She screamed. It was painful.

Would this end?

"Next time watch where you're going", he said and pushed her to the wall. Marcy fell hitting her head hard.

She remembered what the principal told her the other day. She had called her to the office and asked her if she wanted to leave. "If you stay here you'd be bullied, assaulted and trampled upon. This is an elite world, a world filled where the rich reign supreme ", she sighed and continued. " If you don't leave, we can't do anything if they bully you. But, even if you leave, you'll be the next target for demons", she said looking at her straight in the eyes.

"I won't leave ", she said.

And that's what she remembered. The truth was that if she left, she would be bullied more and she wouldn't have anything to eat. She lay there not moving. Before she shut her eyes, she saw that guy, that one that had an aura that could destroy her completely. He looked at her for sometime and walked away.

Then she shut her eyes.

Marcy opened her eyes to see a white room. It smelled of drugs.

Ugh. I hate it.

The school clinic had a lot of facilities, she sat up holding her head. It was bandaged, she had hurt her head and it aches badly.

A nurse came to her side holding a tray of food and drugs. She sat beside her telling her to eat. They were silent for a while before Marcy asked.

"Who brought me here, ma?" She asked picking her food. The nurse looked at her and smiled.

"A certain person brought you here. I actually don't know the person. We just saw you lying at the clinic door and thought you brought yourself here", she said straightening her dress.

Marcy wondered that person was. No one in the school liked her, she was alone. Or was her angel hiding from her trying to cause her pain.

What a joke. Angel? Not in my lifetime.

The nurse was watching her for sometime, then she smiled at her.

"Do you want to leave?" She asked bringing the lost Marcy back to reality.

"Yes"

"Do you want to leave the school?" The nurse asked again.

Marcy sighed. "I can't leave the school, if I do, I won't have a place to go and I'll be more exposed to demons than in this school", she said trying to stand.

"But you won't be bullied too much ", the nurse said and Marcy laughed. "I better be bullied here than outside.

"Maybe you would find your angel. People don't understand that time matters a lot. At least it's better not to have an angel than when your angel leaves you", she said.

Marcy could remember vividly when the principal said something about angels leaving. "What does that mean?"

The nurse smiled at her and patted her head. "You need to rest", she said and stood straightening her dress once more.

"Rest, miss Marcy, I'll check up on you later", she said and left the room.

Why do they keep hiding this from me.

***

"Why can't I find her? Checked the ends of the earth and my master hasn't been found ", someone said sitting on the grass and dirtying herself with mud.

"What if she's dead?" Someone asked. The supposed being looking for her master turned to the other person sharply. "Don't speak like that. Do you wish for me to become a wanderer of the earth? I need to find her so I could rest in peace ", she said standing up.

She had been wandering the earth for more than a thousand years looking for her supposed master, so she could be accepted back as an angel who served the guardians of the green gate.

"It's hopeless ", she said looking at her hands. Those ivory skin looked tanned and her angel form was no longer there.

Why was she to suffer for a crime she did not commit. She didn't commit treason, she was the best angel that minded her business and...

"Calm down, you'll find her soon", the other angel said calming her down. One of the reasons she consoled her was because if she flared up, she would cause a fire in woods.

"I'll soon leave you, so I could face my punishment", she said and the other angel nodded.

Why did angels leave their masters? Why did they sleep with humans? And why did they transform to demons when casted down?

"Greet Nathaniel for me. And make sure to tell the punisher that the code of conduct is too strict", she said and the angel laughed.

"Then I'll be thrown into the abyss of fire", she said and they laughed. " Right", she said lying on the grass.

"Have you gone to Netro?" The angel asked. "No, I don't think she'd be there", she said. "Go to Netro, Lucille", she said. "Check it out, you could find her there"

"It's not possible for the' all hail, the blessed Netro' not to have someone without an angel ", she said and the angel shook her head.

"Lucille, if I were you, I'd check it out. Your master might be there, you never know. So you could go back to being you", she said.

But what they didn't know was that even if she met her and bonded with her, she couldn't go back to being her normal self. Her life would change... For the worse... Or the better.

It was fate that would decide either ways.
