Chapter 112 - Chapter 112 Reunited

"Fifteen minutes later, she stepped out onto the porch and saw him standing at the far end, his powerful form silhouetted by the porch light; his glistening jet-black hair, which had gotten much longer, was braided down his back. Was he really here to be with her, after everything she and her family did to him? She could only cling to hope.

As if sensing her presence, he turned to face her, his dark eyes scanning her form from head to toe. Moving the phone from his ear, he put it in his jacket pocket and walked slowly towards her. She instinctively took a step back, and his step halted. "I come in peace. I only wish to speak to you; please hear me out," he said softly. She met his gaze for a few seconds but said nothing. She then nodded her head, and he took slow, cautious steps towards her.

"Hi, Island princess." He greets her softly. "Hi," Was all she could breathe out. "Can we talk over there?" He asked, indicating the sofa. "Okay," she whispered nervously, locking his fingers with hers. He led her towards the sofa that was only a few feet away, and she gently lowered herself onto it. As he sat beside her, he could tell that this sofa was designed specifically for her comfort.

Looking down at his fingers that were still locked with hers, she took a deep breath in and let it out slowly. "I can feel your skin against mine, but my mind still cannot comprehend the fact that you're sitting before me." She says with her head down.

"I spent months hoping you would return so that I could apologize to you for all that my family and I had done to you, then end up spending months dreading your return because of who you are. "I then convinced myself that even if I should apologize, there is no way you would ever forgive me, and if you should return, it would only be to take your children from me, and I would never see them or you again." She says as silent tears run down her face.

"We both spend months battling our own fears." He says, squeezing her fingers softly. "I spend months dreading the idea of marrying someone else to produce an heir, and all that time the woman that had captured my heart is not only carrying one heir but two." He chuckles softly. "An heir and an heiress." She corrects him. "Even better, a perfect pair. On the other hand, if I'm being honest with myself, I would have to admit that I was more torn about you going back to your Ex than I was about your accusations.

"Wait, really?" "Mm-hmm, even though I couldn't prove it I knew that man wasn't a good person, and he didn't deserve you, and the thought of you with him tore me apart day after day; it was a never-ending torture for me."

"After everything I did and said to you, you were still concerned with me being with David?" She asked, still in shock that this man, the man of her dreams, was before her in the flesh, and what was more shocking was the words coming from his lips.

"I was," "Moses....I....Sorry, I guess I can't call you that anymore." She says, holding her head down again. "You may use that name if you wish; I do not mind." He says, lifting her face so he could see her eyes. "Words can't express how much I regret what I did and said to you, Moses. I'm so sorry; please forgive me." She cries.

"I already have; just the fact that you regret your actions is enough for me." "Do you really mean that? Or is this just your way of making me let my guard down so I don't see what is coming?" "I have never deceived you, and I don't plan on starting now. My words are sincere." He says, his dark eyes meeting hers.

"I'm hearing your words, but I still can't believe what I am hearing." "You will, with time; however, I have one request going forward." "Which is?" She asked, holding her breath. "Don't ever doubt my words again." He says firmly. "That's it?" She asks. He nods but says nothing. "Okay, I promise, I will try my best not to do that anymore." She says, breathing a sigh of relief. "I will hold you to that. Now I have a question for you." He says, meeting her gaze again.

"I haven't been touched by anyone sexually since you left, if that's what you were going to ask." Biting her lip, she tried her best to avoid his gaze. "That's good to know, and neither have I, but that wasn't my question, I..." "Wait," she said, cutting him off. "You haven't been touched sexually since leaving here?" "I have not."

"But why? I mean, since you believed that I went back to David, why didn't you move on with your life?" "I was too busy mourning the loss of my mother, my fiancée, my unborn child, my imbecile of a younger brother, and the woman that captured my heart on this Island." He states. "Ohh, I'm so sorry to have added to your grief." "It was unavoidable and now a part of my past." He sighs.

"You lost everyone, including your brother?" she asks with compassion. "My brother was the reason I lost everyone, but I will tell you more about that later." "Can you really forgive me?" She asked again. "Why do you keep asking me that question?"

"Oh, come on, Moses, how can you sit here before me saying that you forgive me when I can't forgive myself." "I will repeat: you will, with time." He says calmly. "Are you trying to forgive me because I'm carrying your children?" "I'm no longer trying, I've already forgiven you, and even though you carrying my kids makes you a VIP at the highest level in my country at present, that isn't the only reason I've chosen to forgive you and your family, did you miss the fact that you've captured my heart and besides your Holy book says that it's wise to forgive." He chuckles with a smile.

"I miss your smile." She whispers, caressing his cheek. "Since leaving here, I haven't had many reasons to smile." He says, leaning his head against her hand. "But I thought your feelings for me would change once you left." "It hasn't; my love for you has only gotten stronger since I left this Island."

"Really." "Hm-mm." "Okay, then I will spend the rest of my life making up for what I did to you." She says, giving him a warm smile. "Excellent, which brings me back to the question I was going to ask earlier. Princess Liah, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?"
