For a few minutes, she stared at him in silence, then began giggling. "Come on, Moses, you can't seriously want to marry me." She says between giggles. "Nothing would make me more complete." He says seriously. "Liah," He says, meeting her eyes. "You have captured my heart, my mind, and my body, a captivity from which I do not wish freedom. It would be my honor to have you as my wife."
"Moses...I..." "We are both miserable without each other, so for our sake, just say yes," he says softly. "Yes," she breathed out softly. "Even though I would only be one of your many wives, I won't complain. As long as I can be with you, it would be my honor to become your wife." She says softly. "Woman that ordered me never to let another woman touch me say what now?" He asks, surprised by her comment.
"That was before I knew who you were," she says with her head down. "Liah, look at me," he orders, and she slowly lifts her head. "You won't be one of my many wives; you will be my only wife." He says firmly, slipping the ring on her finger. "Oh my good Lord, Moses, this is the most beautiful ring I've ever seen," she says in awe, running her finger over the diamond. "I have a feeling you will be saying that a lot." He chuckles.
"But I'm sure there are a lot of maidens in your country who are lining up to become your wife." She pouts. "You're right about that, but you are the only maiden that has captivated me, and the only maiden I desire to have in my bed." He states. "But so much has happened, Moses, and so much has changed." "Again, you're right, a lot has happened, and a lot has changed, but the one thing that hasn't changed is my love for you. I loved you then, and I love you even more now."
"Whatever will I do with you?" She laughs. "I can make a few suggestions." Leaning towards her, he whispers something in her ear. "Hmm, my naughty prince." She moans. "I had an excellent teacher." He smiles seductively. "That you did, so will you be staying here tonight?" She ask. "Wild horses couldn't drag me away."
"Okay then." Getting up slowly, she took him by the hand and led him towards the front door. "How has your pregnancy been so far?" He asked, looking at her huge stomach. "It's been fine, the doctor says that they are healthy and everything is in order according to their growth, and they have me drinking green juice and eating every fruit I can get my hands on at two in the morning." She pouts, massaging her belly.
"I remember that green juice wasn't your favorite thing, but I'm happy to hear that they are healthy." He says as they enter the house. Evan, her mother, and Anthony were all sitting in the living room with anxious looks on their faces. "So, what's the verdict?" Anthony asks, and Liah shows them her ring. "So it's official, you're now a part of our family?" Anthony asks. "I am," Mathayus replies.
"Christ of Daniel," her mother says in disbelief. "My thoughts exactly. Welcome to the family, man," Evan says, slapping Mathayus's shoulder. "Thank you, and thank you for guarding Liah and my unborn children." Mathayus nods with gratitude. "Happy to be of service," Evan smiles. "So what's next?" Anthony asks.
"I need a shower and a meal; I feel as if I haven't had either of those things in a while," Mathayus says. "No problem, there's a big pot of vegetable soup in the kitchen; you can have your fill." Anthony laughs. "And you can thank your little ones for that soup, since Liah was three months pregnant, she hasn't been able to eat any kind of meat." Evan laughs.
"That's because his babies are vegan just like him." Liah pouts, heading towards the kitchen. "I'm not surprised by that." Mathayus chuckles before turning to Keshan. "Where are my belongings?" "I will get them for you, Your Highness." Keshan bows and turns to walk away, but Mathayus stops him.
"Wait, return these to Razor for me." He was about to hand Keshan the weapons, but Evan reached for them instead. "Don't worry, I'll take these; I need to talk to Razor anyway." After taking the weapons, Evan left the room, bowing respectfully Keshan then went to retrieve the prince's suitcase from one of the vehicles.
Mathayus then turned to Lee. "I need you to contact these persons and get them to the church tomorrow." He said, giving Lee a sheet of paper. "Right away, Your Highness."
"A few minutes later, Keshan returned with a large black and silver suitcase. "Where should I take this, Your Highness?" "In my bedroom." Liah blurts out. "I mean, you can use my room if you wish." She said much more softly and disappeared back into the kitchen. Keshan then did as he was told.
"Will he be staying here?" Her mother asked. Liah nodded her head but said nothing. "Where will he sleep? He's not planning on sleeping in your room, is he?" "I think he plans to, but come on, Mama, even if we both want nothing more than to jump each other, I really don't think we will tonight. We have so much to catch up on, and he must be so tired that I'm sure he will be asleep before we can get to the fourth question." She says, stirring the soup.
"In the past I often ask myself who I thought he was and seeing all that he was capable of I couldn't seem to come up with an answer that made sense, I mean a vampire came to mind, a Universal soldier, an A I made to look like a human, he could even be an alien for all I know, but over all it didn't matter to me, I was in love with him and that's all I cared about, until I thought that he had sex with my little sister, I still can't believe she did that." Liah sighs, then continues.
"But now that I know who he is, I'm not even sure how to approach him- a prince, mama? The future king of his country? How is this possible, Mama? Him being a prince still doesn't explain how he's able to do half the things he did, but this is all a bit much, Mama." Liah says nervously.
"Just relax and be the woman he fell in love with," Anthony says from behind them. "But I feel so awkward around him now. I mean, do you have any idea the kind of power he wields daily?" "Okay, so yeah it's normal for you to feel this way around him now and yes he is very powerful and filthy stinking rich, he's also a part of our family because he came back to be with you, now own that and take your rightful place by his side, you did it before all that nonsense with Zoey and you can do it again, but this time we play for keeps," Anthony says rubbing his hands together.
"Okay, I can do this." She says confidently. "Good, I like that attitude. Just keep reminding yourself that you can do this, and what the hell are you stirring so long? Are you trying to recook the soup? Share the damn soup already and take it to him; you heard the man, he's hungry." Anthony orders before leaving the kitchen.
