It was only a matter of time before someone took the bait, and three days later, someone finally did.
"Nero, Elder Arabella has summoned you. You're in trouble!" a fellow herb farmer informed him, looking at him with a mixture of concern and curiosity.
"I doubt it," Nero replied with a shrug.
Without showing the slightest hint of nervousness, he leisurely made his way toward the main hall of the Myriad Herbs Pavilion.
Lucas wanted to accompany him, but Nero refused.
"Stay here. Elder Arabella clearly wants to see me alone."
Lucas hesitated but eventually nodded. He couldn't help feeling a little worried, though.
Being summoned by an elder was rarely a trivial matter, and the fact that Nero had been called alone only made the situation more suspicious.
Nero, however, remained completely unconcerned.
He had already anticipated that someone would eventually make a move.
Now that Elder Arabella had summoned him, he was curious to see how things would unfold.
