[3rd POV]
After a long and enjoyable breakfast, the family had soon found themselves in front of the TV, watching their morning episode of one of their many shows that they have been watching for a while now. While they also enjoyed the complete confusion on the face of Daenerys, who had no idea what in the world she was looking at, and what she was watching.
She knew about TV's by now, thanks to Lucifer and Alice explaining them to her. But she did not really understand them, not truly. And she sure as hell did not understand modern entertainment and why it was so enjoyable to watch. She found it all to be very strange, and found the people around her to be just as strange.
"Why do people enjoy watching this?" Daenerys couldn't help but ask, as she sat watching an episode of one of the new shows that the kids had wanted to watch. The show being Ginny and Georgia. It was a bit of a cheesy little show, but the kids liked it, and Alice was already absorbed into the story.
Lucifer had to admit that it was pretty interesting.
"It's for the same reason why people back in your world like watching jousting and melee's. It's because it is entertainment. And unlike melee's and jousting, it is harmless entertainment" Lucifer explained to the little girl, as the others nodded.
The girls had never been to a melee or anything like that, but they knew about them and how brutal they can tend to be. And back in Daenerys's universe, they are even more brutal than most others. They are also not particularly fun to watch because of that aspect, and it's due to this that they didn't understand why people of her world liked watching it.
It was sort of a two way street. Daenerys didn't understand the appeal of modern entertainment, and they didn't understand the appeal of entertainment from hundreds of years ago. It was just one of those things that both sides would need to work on, since they were intrinsically different from one another.
Daenerys still looked a little lost, but decided against complaining or anything, and focused back on the tv to try to understand why they like that sort of thing so much.

It hadn't taken too long for Daenerys to understand it. As after they got deeper into the show, she began to get absorbed into its story and the backgrounds of the characters inside of it. The other girls had noticed it, and were growing increasingly amused with how absorbed she was getting.
But eventually it was time to stop with the show for a bit. As they tended to watch one or two episodes in the morning of one show, and then during dinner they watch two or three of another show. In the morning it was currently Ginny and Georgia, and in later in the day during the evening, it was currently Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Sci-fi was a huge thing in their family, and the girls loved it. Some of their favorite episodes of any tv show had been made in the show "Doctor Who" and it was one of the biggest universes that they would absolutely be traveling to within the next few years. Whether or not the family would be going with them was still something they had to decide, but it was probably pretty unlikely.
After they had finished their morning episodes of their show, they had decided to take a trip down to New Orleans, so that they could properly introduce Daenerys to the modern world, and potentially even introduce the girl to the Mikaelsons who still lived there even now.
Walking through the streets of New Orleans, Lucifer and Alice kept Daenerys close, as the rest of the girls were walking ahead of them or around them. They were all used to the surroundings and New Orleans in general, so it wasn't much of a problem for them, and they were completely used to this place.
But Daenerys? Yeah...she was not very used to it. She was looking around with wide, slightly frightened eyes. The noises were much louder than what she was used to, and there was a lot of flashing lights she had never seen before. Not to mention the smells, which included the smells of exhaust fumes, people that smelled...not great, and all sorts of other things.
Lucifer didn't filter all of this out for Daenerys, as the girl needed to adapt to her surroundings, since Lucifer wouldn't be there forever. And it would make Daenerys's life a lot easier if she chose to stay with them and become a true member of their family.
Plus if Daenerys eventually wanted to go to school or something, she would need to get used to it on top of that. And with her wanting to take control over Westeros in the future, she would need to learn and train in various things to be properly capable.
This includes things like martial arts, leading, battle formations, and all sorts of other things. She could easily learn about things like formations used by the Romans during war, and that would be a huge help to her. Combine that with learning things about economics, technology, hygiene, and more.
There were a lot of things that she could do to make huge everlasting changes inside of the continent of Westeros. And she would need to study extensively in order to do that. Lucifer would of course be helping her with a lot of that, but not entirely, as she had to learn to grow and develop by herself in the case of her going off on her own.
"Why do people walk around in such...revealing clothing?" Daenerys couldn't help but ask, noticing a few girls walking out of a gym in gym shorts and tops.
"Hmm? Those are for comfort, Daenerys. They're clothing to work out in inside of the gym, which is where you go to lift weights, run, and do exercises to lose weight and gain muscle" Alice explained, noticing that the gym clothes weren't the over the top super revealing kind that some of the less...appropriate people wore at the gym.
They wore that sort of stuff for attention, most of the time. That or they just didn't understand that the gym was a place to go to work out and better oneself, not show off their body.
"...What a strange sense of comfort" Daenerys replied blandly, having never heard of clothing like what they were wearing. It wasn't particularly ugly or anything, but it was strange to her, and very revealing in comparison to the clothes that she understood and was used to.
The more she understood about this new world, the more lost she became on why in the world people liked it. And sure, there were some interesting things about the place, but she still found that a lot of the world was very strange and simply over the top. Borderline wrong in certain areas.
Lucifer and Alice noticed the expressions that she was making, and thought it was hilarious. The girl was looking at the places and people around her with a concerned expression on her face, which just made it funny.
With that, the group continued to walk around New Orleans, showing it off to Daenerys, all the while, Lucifer had one thought on her mind.
'I wonder how she'll feel about the Mikaelsons?'
