Although the young World Tree was heavily protected, Asad didn't want to risk allowing an unfamiliar creature to hatch directly beside it. The Bloodfeeding Pixie might only be a small magical beast, but they had no idea how it would react immediately after being born.
Fortunately, Blood Talon Shelter had several secluded areas prepared for exactly this kind of situation.
Asad led Aera through a narrow path behind the World Tree before arriving at a small stone pavilion surrounded by a low wall. The area was quiet, and several defensive formations had been engraved around the perimeter.
Aera looked around curiously.
"This place is pretty nice."
"It's also protected by a few formations," Asad replied. "If anything goes wrong, the formations should contain it."
Aera glanced at him.
"Do you really think something could go wrong?"
"I don't know."
Asad looked at the egg in her hands.
