Three Genin ninjas from the Hidden Stone jump down from the tree branch. The three slowly encircle Naruto, and all three ninjas are male.
"Yup, no mistake. That's him," one said with a smirk on his face.
"Imagine our luck, guys. Forget about being Chunin; if Lord Tsuchikage heard about this, he would definitely promote us to Jonin," another said as the three of them stared at Naruto as if they were looking at prey.
This really amuses Naruto. He didn't know where these three got their confidence, but he definitely used the existence of these three for his experiment.
"So you're the Yellow Flash's firstborn, huh?" the first to speak questions. Naruto simply stares back at him.
"He asked you a question, kid. Talk!" a third demands.
"The kid's scared. Lost your tongue, brat?" another laughs, the other two chuckling in response.
"Can the three of you start already? I started to get sleepy seeing you three bicker at each other," Naruto indifferently said.
"You bastard!" The two said in unison while their eyes burned with killing intent.
"We previously thought we should at least make this quick, but now we've changed our minds. We will let you know the word 'pain'!" The third person said with venom in his voice before the three dashed straight towards Naruto.
With Satsuki and Hinata.
The two found a somewhat secluded location near a water source, a perfect place to temporarily stay and rest for a day.
One might think that Naruto wouldn't have a chance of finding their current location, which really isn't a smart idea, but who is Naruto? He was the strongest and, without a doubt, had a method to find the two of them.
In fact, even if he doesn't have such a method, Hinata can easily locate him with the help of her doujutsu.
"Seems like we are finished here," Hinata softly said, and a small smile appeared on her face.
"Indeed," Satsuki nods while scanning the area.
While from the outside point of view it seems like a typical forest ground, hidden within it are traps that she and Hinata place to protect them when they sleep this night.
Of course they will without a doubt take turns guarding the area during the nighttime, but a little assurance isn't a bad thing for anyone.
"It's strange; after close to an hour Naruto hasn't returned yet. Surely with his skills he can easily find an animal for our food today, especially the fact that we are inside the forest," Satsuki said in confusion.
"Maybe he was that unlucky. It wouldn't be strange to be unable to find an animal quickly in the forest," Hinata responded calmly.
"Maybe." A slight frown appeared on Satsuki's face. "But maybe he had other things he had to take care of before hunting an animal," she added in a low voice.
The thought of Cursed Spirits appeared in the two girls' minds. It wouldn't really be strange for Naruto to kill a Cursed Spirit since, from what they learn from Hitomi, it was his job.
The existence of Cursed Spirits in the forest also isn't strange, especially after hearing the name of the training ground and reason behind it.
With such an ominous name, it is without a doubt perfect for a cursed spirit to appear within this forest.
Just as the two girls were about to continue their talk, they suddenly sensed someone coming towards them. The two girls turn their heads to see their teammate emerge from the shadows of the tree.
"Sorry, guys, I couldn't find anyth—" The white-haired teenager didn't manage to finish his sentence when a fist connects firmly on his face.
The force behind the punch is powerful enough that it sends the white-haired teenager several steps backwards.
"What the hell are you doing?!" he demands, clutching at his face.
"Naruto would never allow me to land a punch on him that easily," Satsuki responds flatly. "He definitely wouldn't go hunting and come back empty-handed either."
The white-haired teenager turns to Hinata, who already brings out a kunai from her weapon pouch. He smirks, seeing this and staring at two girls intently.
"Well, it was worth a shot. The hard way is it then," he speaks, his voice changing completely. A sound akin to a small explosion accompanied by a cloud of smoke is heard. The smoke lifts to reveal three Hidden Rain ninjas standing side by side.
"Let's have a look at that scroll, shall we?" The Hidden Rain Ninja in the middle said.
Satsuki smirks in response, knowing full well that the scroll isn't with them but on Naruto, who is the perfect person to guard it.
"Come and take it," Satsuki responds with eyes full of contempt.
The three Hidden Rain ninjas run towards the two, unleashing a flurry of shurikens. Satsuki and Hinata strike the projectiles away with their kunai, running to meet the enemy halfway.
Satsuki effortlessly ducks underneath a kunai slash to send a fist into the genin's stomach, sending him into his teammate behind him. The two landed in a pile before melting into water.
Meanwhile, Hinata's kunai met with that of the third Hidden Rain Ninja, sending sparks flying in the air before the Hidden Rain Ninja could even think of launching another attack when he suddenly felt a pain in his chest as Hinata sent a solid and powerful punch.
Without hesitation Hinata uses the kunai on her other hand as she slashes across her chest. The enemy dissolves into water immediately after.
"All clones, huh?" Hinata whispers.
Daiki curses to himself, watching from the treetops above as his clones are dispatched in seconds.
'Damnit. These little bitches can actually fight, huh? 'A voice cuts through his thoughts, his eyes widening in shock.
"You know, for someone of your level to have the nerve to attack us alone. It's insulting."
He turns to be met with a pair of crimson eyes, the left with a single tomoe above the pupil and the right with two tomoe on either side of the pupil.
He can only watch as two quick right hands meet his face, sending him flying from the trees to a vicious landing below that breaks some of his bones.
He lies in an unconscious heap as Satsuki jumps from the tree to land in an upright position above him, Hinata walking to stand before her, above him.
"Surely he can't be the only one attacking us," Hinata said while activating her Byakugan to see anyone that hides nearby. Satsuki looks at him, an offended frown still in place.
"I'd like to thi—" Satsuki didn't have time to finish her sentence as she and Hinata sensed someone's arrival.
Without hesitation the two girls throw kunai towards the newly arrived person. The figure just redirected the projectile effortlessly despite the large animal atop his shoulder.
'That's Naruto for you,' Satsuki thought after seeing his action.
"Stop right there!" Hinata screams while staring at Naruto intently.
"It's him, Hinata," Satsuki said.
"Let him give the code first," Hinata responds, not bothering to look at Satsuki in fear that if she even blinks, the person in front of her will take action against them.
While there is a high chance that the person in front of her is Naruto, who can tell? Only Naruto can effortlessly do such a thing; after all, there are many skilled Genin participating in the exam—of course, not as skilled as Naruto.
Naruto drops the dead deer from his shoulders and reaches into his pockets, which made Hinata slightly stiffen in apprehension while Satsuki remained relaxed. He brought out two scrolls in each hand, both marked 'Heaven.'
"A great team is born from members who give everything for each other instead of for themselves," Naruto said flatly.
Hinata lowers her kunai as he approaches, a smile forming on Hinata's face. Naruto comes to stand above the unconscious Hidden Rain Ninja, the three now surrounding hm.
"I see you had no trouble dealing with this one. I happened to run into his teammates on the way, actually," Naruto informs calmly, but the way he says it causes both Hinata and Satsuki to roll their eyes.
"Neither of them had the scroll, which means it's on him," Naruto added, ignoring the reaction of his teammates.
Satsuki searches the ninja pulling a scroll from his body with the mark 'Earth.'
"We actually managed to get the second scroll on the first day!" Hinata said with excitement. Satsuki is also happy but glances at the second 'Heaven' scroll in Naruto's hands.
"Where did you get that second 'Heaven' scroll?" Satsuki asks, voice filled with curiosity.
"I ran into some other candidates while I was hunting. I managed to snag it from them," Naruto flatly responded while Hinata and Satsuki rolled their eyes.
It was clear to the two that he effortlessly defeated the owner of the second 'Heaven' mark scroll. With his strength this was the perfect conclusion they could think of and probably what happened in the first place.
"But if our scroll is a 'Heaven' mark and we already have the 'Earth' mark scroll to accompany it, what's the point in having that?" Hinata asks.
"Narrowing the competition," Naruto said calmly.
"If we can ensure one less team is able to advance, that'll immediately increase our own chances in the next round," he responds. He'd killed all three of those Stone Genin after doing a quick experiment on them as well as the two Hidden Rain ninja that had been in the vicinity and were teammates to the unconscious one.
