The first day of their vacation time in Boracay went pretty well. They have so much fun in the beach, and they did some sightseeing around the small paradise by the afternoon.
Croix's POV
I was searching on the deceased Eduardo on more of his secret transactions with his clients and close connections. It was afternoon, basically 24 hours after Hoshi and his group departed for Boracay via Batangas City. The atmosphere here in the NBI headquarters was peaceful so far: just regular cases being typical. Some of my coworkers are in their rosary prayers for Zephaniah. To be honest, some of us felt his presence in this office.
And then, I saw one strange transaction of Eduardo with one Kurou Kiyomi, a businessman based in Nara City, Japan. The transaction was 1 million pesos, and it was from Eduardo's own pockets, untainted from the crimes he and his goons had done before their karmic ending in that LRT Depot. Curious on who this Mr. Kiyomi was, I looked into it. At first, everything seemed to be normal and nothing out of the blue.
But then, I saw a link for a website known as the Tempest Brethren Official Website. With a click, I was now looking at their Japanese website. I had to turn on the website translator into English just to read the info. Then, I saw an article written by a few students of theirs.
Students? Are they an international school or something?
I clicked it; my curiosity deepens more.
This article contained something that made my skin crawl regarding Kurou's true identity.
According to that, Kurou Kiyama was the son of a demon that had been long defeated by one Louis Santos, father of Hoshi and Mariya. That demon himself had an identity known as Sai Kiyama, which was just a series of fake identities he had adopted for 1,300 years. The students had been keeping track of his identities for generations through old records and now with modern recordkeeping technology.
I was shocked…a demon was after Hoshi?
Oh no…this is bad…
