"Good night!" Turstin Muller nodded, opened the door, and entered his room.
Once he closed the door, he leaned powerlessly against the door, took deep breaths, and suddenly felt dizzy, everything around him becoming blurry. Only the stabbing pain in his chest was unmistakably real.
His face was as pale as paper, and his lips appeared covered in white wax.
He reached into his bag for a bottle of medicine, his trembling hands struggling to open it. He opened his mouth directly and poured the medicine into it. After chewing for a bit, his chest felt significantly better.
With weary steps, he made his way to the bed and heavily collapsed onto it, wishing he could sleep and never wake up.
The next day, while Valentine Teller was still asleep, Mark Reed and Turstin Muller left the hotel.
When Valentine Teller woke up to find the other bed empty, she had no idea when Mark Reed had left.
