"Not too deep, twenty-three stitches," Turstin Muller smiled nonchalantly, "It's just a small injury, it'll be fine in a few days."
Valentine Teller felt uneasy. She didn't want Mark Reed to get hurt, nor did she want Turstin Muller to be injured.
But now, Turstin had exchanged his blood for Mark's safety, and she couldn't be happy about it.
"You and Mark should be more careful in the future. If you can avoid going to the construction site, then don't go."
Valentine reached out, wanting to touch Turstin's injured arm, but her hand stopped in mid-air and slowly retracted.
Her concern for him should have its limits.
Turstin gazed deeply at Valentine, seeing her eyes slightly redden. He asked somewhat excitedly, "Are you worried about me?"
Valentine's heart tightened, and she pretended to be relaxed as she said, "We're friends, after all. It's natural to care about you."
Just friends, merely plain and simple friends.
