He used to live next door to Valentine Teller and Mark Reed. After he checked out, other guests moved in, and the room he reopened was directly opposite theirs.
"Valentine, I have something to take care of tonight and I'll be back late. Turstin Muller will accompany you for dinner, and you can take a walk nearby." Mark said as he picked up the wool coat and put it on.
Valentine shook her head, "Forget it, don't bother Turstin. I'll eat alone; he doesn't need to accompany me. It's so cold, I don't want to go out walking; I'll just stay in my room and watch TV."
"I'm afraid you'll get bored out of your mind. It's okay, let Turstin accompany you; I trust you guys."
Mark cupped Valentine's face and kissed her on the forehead. "Your history with him is past; I don't mind. What are you worried about? If you keep being hesitant, I'll think you still have unresolved feelings for Turstin."
"Stop joking around—unresolved feelings or whatever... we're just friends..."
