"Hmm, I'm not sleeping, waiting for you to pick me up, it's so cold, there's no one on the road anymore..."
"I'll be there right away."
Valentine Teller knocked on Turstin Muller's room door, asking him to pick up Mark Reed with her. Without a word, Turstin changed into his coat and went with her.
Having a hard time finding a taxi, Mark Reed had just informed Valentine Teller of where he'd been drinking, when the call dropped.
Valentine tried calling again, but his phone was off; it seemed the battery had died.
Throughout the ride, Valentine Teller kept asking the driver how much farther it was, worried that Mark Reed might fall asleep in the snow, which would be disastrous.
Whenever he gets drunk, he loves to sleep; he can fall asleep anywhere.
"Don't worry," Turstin Muller comforted Valentine Teller: "We'll be there soon."
Valentine was so anxious she was near tears: "He always likes to drink until he's completely wasted, and then he doesn't know anything..."
