Fu Mingyu was startled awake by a nightmare.
In the dream, Wen Nuan was engulfed by flames, her face terrified as she shouted "Third Brother," while he desperately tried to rush over, but his feet wouldn't budge as if nailed to the ground.
The harder he tried, the further Wen Nuan drifted away, leaving Fu Mingyu drenched in sweat with anxiety.
Reaching out again, Wen Nuan suddenly vanished, and his vision turned pitch black, unable to see anything.

With a loud cry, Fu Mingyu awoke.
Sweat covered his forehead, and Fu Mingyu gasped for breath, taking a long time before realizing it was just a nightmare.
The room was bright, but beside him was empty, and Fu Mingyu's muddled mind snapped into sharp focus. Without any hesitation, he hurriedly dressed and dashed downstairs, finally calming down when he saw Wen Nuan in the kitchen cooking soup.
