Nuan Nuan was either shivering from cold or having nightmares, her overall condition was at its worst. Her cries of "Don't come near" and "Third Brother, save me" made Fu Mingyu's heart ache to the point of suffocation.
Knowing they couldn't continue like this, Fu Mingyu decisively called the doctor and had him come over to give Nuan Nuan a sedative.
