As the referee went through the motions, asking them both if they were willing to fight and then explaining the rules of the match, Nero could not help but wonder what Saber's goal was.
The Kolar Military Academy was absolutely safe, at least as safe as any place could be in this world. The academy would never allow the cadets to come to any true harm, at least from any other cadet. Any trick or plot they could cook up, the professors and soldiers stationed within the academy should be able to see through even if they had their eyes closed.
So it was unlikely that either Nero could harm him, or that Saber could do anything to Nero. But just because they could not directly harm one another did not mean that nothing could be done at all. In fact, Nero had long noticed that the academy silently encouraged competition within the framework of its rules.
