The observers knew that Nero had already proven himself a competent warrior in the field of battle. Yet now it seemed that in an arena of wits and verbal conflict he was not lacking either. The two held nothing back as they insulted each other, igniting the blood of all who heard with righteous fury.
Some sided with the black haired cadet, while others backed Nero, each of them feeling infuriated at the audacity of the other. Nero himself, however, wasn't bothered in the least. The insults fell onto Nero's ears as if the barking of a stray dog - irritating at most and wholly unworthy of his attention.
That was why, when Nero smirked after hearing the cadets words, it was not forced. It was genuine, and filled with amusement.
