Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

Mia continued nodding, playing with her slipper, "You are right, we don't need one. I will cook for the day, and we can reheat in the microwave and eat."

"No, I mean, you have such a capable cook as your daughter, she will take care of the kitchen, right?" William's gaze fell on his eldest daughter, and he laughed, "Isn't that right, Raven?"

"Though her buns are often chewy and floury, she sometimes cooks edible dishes. It depends on her mood." He said to his wife, she had no smile, only regretful sadness.

"Huh? Raven?" He turned to her and asked a bit loudly, chuckling ridiculously, "Where are you lost?"

"She blacked out…tsk tsk…this generation can't even concentrate for a minute." He shook his head, face grimacing.

"Even Ayan is ruining me, always parroting Funds! Funds! Funds! Say, what does he do with all the funds I transfer for daily working?"

"Runs the business?!" Anna mumbled, ignored as always.

A moment of silence thickened in the air. All the eyes dropped, except William, who looked at the ceiling, blank, inhaling anger within his body.

"How long can we survive with this carelessness?" He spoke sharply.

"I don't know," Raven answered.

"How do Mr Fan and Mr Sharma deal? It was a mess, and it ended before we could even start. That Ayan is clearly sabotaging us." He frustratingly jerked his hand in the air and placed it on the back of his head, leaning back.

'Don't react! Raven, don't react. Calm!

No. What the fuck! You had him leave his previous job and insisted on hiring him; we were all against that. But you did it anyway.

Poached him! Poaching??? Is that the right word to use? It is a bit harsh.

Then?

He and I got along well enough to agree on certain points, and you couldn't digest that!

You had your stupid ass friend talk nonsense and fill him with outrageous rebellious thoughts, and now that he is going against your will and paying the employees out of his pocket because you delay it as always, he is the bad guy.

That poopy Karen! It is good for Ayan too; he always sympathised with that snake, didn't he?

Yeah, he does have a large credit, and why is that? Because! Sir! You allowed that! I am not saying things were perfect when I was in charge; it has certainly worsened under your watch.

You have changed the teams four times in a year.

Now, your son walks in and claims Ayan has bad intentions, and you want to fire him, too.

Fire him! I don't care! After all, Ayan is one of the old ones who remembers all the insults I faced!!!

It is better for me only; let him be gone!

I don't want to get involved in this mess again. And I will not! You old geezer!'

'No, Raven, don't vent this out! You will be in trouble. You have to sleep today!

It has been a long time since we reconciled. I do need a break from him.

I wish I had the kind of money to do that!

I hate this dependence.

What can I do to earn…?

Let's get over this first!'
