Right now, Sai was shocked.
And it wasn't only him. Katarina's mouth would probably have been hanging wide open if not for the fact that she had to maintain at least some composure.
His energy was weak, and his appearance was slightly different from what they remembered. But even so, there was no way they could mistake him for someone else.
"Hey… isn't that Azazel?" Sai whispered quietly as he turned his head toward Katarina.
"I can see that!" Katarina shot back immediately.
Azazel was probably the first enemy they had ever encountered that they had absolutely zero chance of defeating during their first confrontation. That memory had been burned deeply into their minds.
'But I could have taken him on if I wasn't injured.'
That thought lingered bitterly in Sai's mind.
And that was exactly the biggest problem right now.
He and Katarina were both probably at their absolute weakest state at the moment.
'Wait… something is off.'
