"We have three things to do."
Katarina stood within the training area she had constructed inside the castle. Though it was far from the grand, near-perfect constructs she was capable of creating at her peak, it remained solid and dependable, reinforced with layered defenses and equipped with a range of useful functions.
"First, we need to recover. Both of us are too weak to handle any major threat right now."
"And second, we need to become stronger," Sai added, finishing her thought. Katarina gave a small nod in agreement.
"I'm sure you've already gained some realizations from the fight we had. Now we need to properly digest those insights and move forward."
Neither of them needed to say it out loud. They both understood it instinctively.
Lucas had not been the end.
If the enemies they were destined to face from this point onward were at that level—or worse, beyond it—then their current strength would not be enough. They would lose.
