"Which is crazy because some of my kind that are different races can look or change parts of themselves to look like beasts."
"Wait, Yes that could work. Well assuming we actually get off this planet."
Nuka became intrigued hearing the excitement in his voice. Damon explained what he was thinking, but it got shut down as quickly as he explained it.
"Damn, so you can't change your appearance into a human, that sucks."
"I'm not saying I can't, I honestly do not know. My race are Kitsunes, we are beasts that can take the form of things we have killed. You're my first human as you call yourself. "
Kitsunes aka tricksters could shape themselves into any beast they killed after eating its core. They also take on the beasts physical strengths they turn into, but not develop their abilities.
Nuka had killed the ape beast she took the form of. The ape name was vulgarus a beast that tried to make Nuka submit and join the infected. At the time, vulgarus wasn't infected, but held his aligence to the infected because of their undying power.
He wanted to join them and wanted her to do the same. However, before he could, Nuka killed him, fearing the monster he would become after gaining the infected powers. Her family and race had been long dead and captured by the other beast men.
Once again Damon was stuck with no words after listening to Nuka's story. Everything coming to his mind was nothing but negative thoughts. Although his size and body was almost that of a young adult he was only fifteen and still clueless about many things.
Eventually he was taken to the place he woke up at. Nexas stayed with him for a while as she found him interesting and fun to be around. He shaped clouds into many small animals for her. He didn't mind it because it counted as training.
She thanked him over and over for saving her. He didn't bother to ask what happened to her because it didn't matter and he did not want her to relive whatever happened. He learned she was fourteen years old and loved to swim.
Nexas watched him shape the clouds until she fell asleep, and so he picked her up and took her back to her room. He would see cat beast walking through the curving hallways, just roaming around every few minutes. Damon knew it was still keeping a close eye on him.
Sitting in the hammock he took in a deep breath. He could feel his new powers crawling through his body, visualizing lightening, it wasn't long before he felt an electric charge flowing to the surface.
Blue Static sparked from his fingertips and the sound of crackling was heard. He watched his plasma pool numbers decline a little. The more energy and charge he put into it the more it dropped. He could see the exact amount of voltage he was expelling, currently he was only putting out 3,000 volts.
"I see you didn't show all of your talents." A familiar voice said behind him.
"Jeesh, you nearly scared the piss out of me Nuka." He said holding his chest in a fright.
His lightening dispersed and his plasma pool went back to full. He figured because he didn't actually release or separate the charge from his body was the reason he didn't lose any from his pool of plasma, but he was just guessing.
"Come with me."
"Hold it, can it wait. I have to train for a while." He said politely, after everything so far, he had become even more comfortable and was more than positive that Nuka was a good and very heartfilled beast. So he was more assertive and no longer so timid with speaking.
"Ok, i'll observe you and we will go afterwards."
Nuka sat down a few feet away from him as he continued. She watched him closely until he was done. He then got up and walked near the bridge and rain began falling.
Nuka had seen it once before when he faced off against the wolves, but didn't think much about it. Seeing it now she had to admit it was a very unique ability. Damon swayed the rain back and forth and made it come down in patterns instead of all at once until he was done. He could now control his rain at a higher degree than before.
The last thing he had to do was craft a new item which he felt like could wait a little longer. It was already dark, but he could tell he had at least 6 more hours.
"Your ability, What is it exactly."
Damon thought about it for a moment and the only thing he could come up with was the meaning of his race which was storm bearers. He didn't tell her that because he really didn't know.
"To be honest. I have no clue what it is exactly."
"It looks like weather to me, It's like you can harness its natural power."
Damon thought about it and disagreed. He couldn't manipulate clouds that were already in the sky or the rain if it was raining. He couldn't control the lightning that would come with a storm. At least he didn't think he could. He simply hadn't tried.
Everything he could do was created by him with a single focused thought. Nuka continued to give her thoughts on his ability, but Damon couldn't grasp what she was trying to say.
"You say it's your ability when you clearly have more than one. You can separate your rain , your clouds and your electricity. But the important factor is all three of them exist together naturally all the time in the natural world.
Damon scrunched up his eyes and face while tilting his head. Nuka could tell he wasn't getting what she was trying to say so she left it alone.
"Come, let's go. I can show you what I mean tomorrow."
Her body changed into the ape and she picked him up and jumped down. Damon screamed like a little girl again all the way down, but this time Nuka made sure to stop much smoother.
With multiple jumps off the trees and ground she was clearing a distance he thought was impossible with a single jump while holding him. After thirty minutes of bouncing off trees and gliding/falling long distances he had begun to feel overwhelmed and sick to his stomach.
Another thirty minutes passed and he had gotten control over himself and actually began enjoying the high jumps over all the terrain that seemed to change very quickly.
"Do you have to take the form of the ape to do this."
"No, but this form does allow me to jump further than my true self and physically, it's stronger."
They soon stopped and was now walking through a large area with tall blades of grass the size of a tree. It was crazy to even think grass could be that big.
"Now I know what's its like to be an ant." He whispered. Moving through the huge blades of grass.
Later on they came to a large boulder, It seemed odd for a single boulder to be among the grass and Damon found out why as Nuka moved it to the side revealing a huge hole. Going inside, it turned into a massive tunnel with light orbs mounted on the walls.
"Where are we going."
"Sometimes seeing things with your eyes gives you a deeper understanding."
Coming to a dead end she placed one hand on the wall. A white light covered the wall and it became transparent. They could see through it completely and on the other side was a humanoid bear beast sitting with its eyes closed.
"Wait here."
Nuka phased through the wall and the bear opened his eyes. He stood up and gave her a light hug. They talked for a moment and she phased back through grabbing Damon.
[Grey panda Grand prime maturity - A bear type beast that's has the ability to see ahead in time through visions.]
[Strengths- time skipping, collecting knowledge.]
[Weakness- Time manipulation of self.]
"Hello young lad, my name is Arabi, it's nice to finally meet you, come, we don't have much time."
Damon was awestruck once again, the grey panda spoke like a old man with a sturdy yet conserved, practice tone. He wore a simple long and very large blood red short sleeved cloak.
"Ughhh, yea, nice to meet you as well, I think." He said looking at Nuka with shifty eyes while thinking why did he say nice to finally meet him as if he was expecting him or something.
In all, He couldn't refuse if he wanted to, and so he went with it, trusting Nuka.
"Here, you two put these on. It'll hide your presence from everyone here except the
Tyrant king. As long as you don't get within three hundred meters of him, you will be ok."
Nuka form changed again, this time into a slinder yellow cheetah beast. It was way smaller than her normal form or the ape making her only a couple feet taller than Damon. She did this so the cloak given to her would cover her whole body.
"Here ya go lad, you will need this in days to come" He said throwing a type of red cloak that turned transparent over Damon.
[ Interference cloak- A cloak that can scramble the senses of anything with the ability to detect depending on distance and can camouflage the user.]
Damon could also see what material was used to make the cloak.
"Wait, didn't he say I may need this in the days to come, is he giving it to me." He thought while looking at it. A look of confusion and frustration became welded on his face as he thought about what Arabi meant.
"Come Damon, don't worry, Arabi is an old and great friend of mine." Nuka said giving him a nudge to follow Arabi.
They walked out and down a few stairs, Damon could tell they were inside a large stone structure. Not like a mountain, but more like a canyon. He found his thoughts to be true as they came out on a stone balcony overseeing huge canyons all around.
Looking down they could see many beasts, but it wasn't anything normal. They were working, carving out stone and building, using the natural make up of the canyons, multiple homes and buildings were made within the canyon walls. Beasts were hauling thousands of materials in huge carts which was being pulled by dinosaur type beasts.
Most of the beasts far down were humanoids of many kinds. Damon could see their structure, their intelligence their drive and knew it meant something greater, but also something worse.
Just like humans and other races. Beasts that were supposed to be only beasts were evolving and creating their own civilization becoming organized.
"Why, why are y'all showing me this."
"We are showing you what is coming lad, around forty years ago we beasts began gaining new forms with tripple the amount of intelligence. At first it was beautiful and we believed it was the dawn of a new time for us."
"We began developing new and great abilities, but one day I had a vision. My ability is to see through time and with each vision I gain knowledge of what's to come, but not how it will come. It's something I can't control and happens periodically."
