"We began developing new and great abilities, but one day I had a vision. My ability is to see through time and with each vision I gain knowledge of what's to come, but not how it will come. It's something I can't control and happens periodically."
"I saw the demise of our planet and many more due to a plague that belongs to a great evil. My visions aren't always clear, but I warned my people and they didn't listen."
"That plague is the sickness you have seen already. The Tyrant king knows of my knowledge and yet disobeys all of my words. He was the first to become sick and had grew exceptionally powerful but at a very high price he doesn't understand, or simply doesn't care about."
"A few others like Nuka rebelled against him as he rose in power. Most are dead and only the most powerful ones were kept alive and have been enslaved until the Tyrant king can successfully convert them against they're will. In time they will succumb to the sickness as well and fall under his control."
"Lad, you must understand the world you come from will be in great danger. The Tyrant king abilities are growing everyday. Gate ports to other worlds have been appearing more frequently, but for some reason he cannot cross through. I suspect it's because of a condition of the sickness, but I really do not know."
"My fear is him learning how to control and keep gate ports open. I don't know of your race, but I knew you would come. I knew you two would cross paths years ago. That is why Nuka has brought you to me."
Damon looked a Nuka for a moment while thinking about everything he was being told.
"I'll be honest, I don't know what is going to happen or how, or why you are in the middle of this. There are many holes within my visions. I believe you can be a messenger, you must inform your world of what is to come." He said.
As Arabi spoke he paced back and forth on the stone balcony with his large hairy grey arms placed behind his back. Suddenly Arabi eyes became seriously focused for a second looking off into the distance.
"Hmmm, his keen senses has become even more sharp. I'm sorry, but I thought we would have more time."
"You must leave, now." He said in a slight hard tone.
Nuka immediately got the notion that the Tyrant king was coming.
"Let's go Damon."
They went back the way they came and within an hour and half had made it back. Damon didn't say much as it was a lot on his mind. He didn't understand any of it. His main concern was if Arabi knew all of what he was told then why stick around and be apart of it. Why not leave like Nuka, he had to ask or it would be too heavy on his mind.
"He can't leave, The tyrant king needs his ability. I also needed him on the inside to provide things up until this point. It was part of one of his visions." Nuka said as they sat down in two large chairs made from the red logs.
"Well does he ever do anything that goes against his visions."
"Yes and each time it ended with many dying and more getting sick. We tried to get around his visions, but nothing he or we did worked."
Listening closely Damon felt it was more to it, there were things Nuka wasn't telling him. It was a gut feeling, but he knew his gut to be true. He didn't press on the matter because he trusted her.
"Your friends will be fine." Was the last thing she said as she got up and left the room.
It was totally random and Damon didn't know if she said it to put his mind at ease or to change the subject. This made him believe she knew it for a fact, which could only mean Arabi told her so. He wondered how much she was keeping from him and if the whole thing of helping him was staged or predestined.
He racked his head about all of it for a while before realizing he had less than an hour to craft a new item to complete his daily tasks. Before he completed it he put both cloaks that was given to them by Arabi in his storage.
Nuka had given him hers, telling him to hold on to it. A whole week passed by and all he did was complete his
Daily tasks and train his abilities. Nuka showed him a few fighting stance and striking techniques. She mainly showed him how to throw a very powerful punch.
Kaiva, the cat beast had also gotten more comfortable around him. He discovered it was a mirage panther. The same beast he needed to make the mirage cloak. Kaiva even allowed him to play with her cubs, but only the orange one would hang around him for hours just like Nexas.
Nuka would watch him practice controlling his power and give him tips from time to time.
"No, you're doing well with bringing forth your lighting, but you must focus deeper. Your electricity moves as if it's an untamed beast."
Nuka then held up a finger generating a white energy the size of a golf ball. It was quiet unlike his electricity that crackled a lot and often scattered out like webs without his permission.
"Do you know when you can block or match a person's energy attack."
"No, not really."
"Come closer and try to grab it."
Doing as he was told the second his hand reached for it, he could feel an overwhelming pressure pushing his hand back, but it wasn't what he thought it was. The pressure was fear, his mind and instincts wouldn't let him because it knew not to touch it.
"Whenever you're facing someone their intent will show you everything you need to know in a fight. Now try it."
Reaching this time none of his instincts kicked in telling him it was dangerous, but he still didn't touch the ball. Nuka smiled seeing he didn't.
"Good, I didn't have to tell you not to touch it just because my intent was gone. Which is only blood lust. Now the same way you've felt my intent. I want you to feel yours, but in a different way."
"Feel it as if you're not searching for control, you're taking control."
Damon was about to try it when he noticed Nexas was practicing as well. Red energy pulsed around her body. She pulled it in and let it go along with her breaths. Damon couldn't believe she had that kind of control over her energy.
"That is a beast breathing technique. I doubt you can learn it, but I can try to teach it to you later. Now focus Damon."
Gathering his mind together he repeated Nuka's words.
"Don't search, take it. Don't search, take it."
Hours passed and he tried it again and again, but couldn't get a hang of it. He wondered why he could use and control his clouds so well. His clouds was the only thing he could truly manipulate.
He could only bring forth rain and his lightening. He could control them a little like making the rain sway back and forth. He could shoot the lighting out of his palms, but it would scatter. As for actually manipulating them like his clouds he couldn't.
They stopped for the day and went back to the tree home to relax. At the end of the day he would pick a vine and pull himself up making it a workout. He never reached the top and Nuka would do it with him until he gave out.
He hadn't added anymore points to his stats because he was trying to raise them by actually doing the things that would increase them naturally. All together he had only managed to increase his speed by one and his strength by two.
[Strength - 30]
[Speed - 20]
He was trying to take things slow and conquer one ability at a time. They all sat down and enjoyed lunch together, it was odd eating and sharing meals with them at first but as the days passed it began feeling normal.
He glanced at the affinity shards description, he hadn't looked at it since his full awakening. [Affinity shards 6/500.] "Fucking useless." He thought.
[Affinity shards shards are used to strengthen and make your affinities much more resilient and must be merged with the will of your soul core. You can obtain more through the completion of daily tasks, system missions and through killing.]
Damon now had a way to strengthen his clouds, rain and lightning abilities. He had to collect 500 affinity shards to do so which seemed like an absurd amount. He hadn't received another one since his awakening even with all the training he was doing which made him believe collecting 500 was going to be extremely difficult. He hadn't received any missions and just continued to stay ahead of his daily tasks.
He eventually stopped thinking about it as he felt his mood dampen. As the days passed, Damon told them about his past as Nuka shared more about hers. They laughed and played games together like a family. Damon would partially shape a cloud into a animal and they would have to guess what it was as if it was whole.
Damon, Nexas and the orange little cub became inseparable. They would fall asleep together and Nuka always made sure they were comfortable.
One night as she stood over them, watching them sleep. she heard footsteps outside on the balcony.
Walking out, a grey panda bear stood on the bridge.
"Nuka, everything has been set in motion. I know it'll be difficult, but you must trust me. Let it play out and don't try and change anything. This has to happen or all of us will fall forever."
Arabi vanished and Nuka was holding the side of her head in discomfort. Arabi appeared to her like a ghost and disappeared.
"I don't think I'll ever get use to him sending me visionary messages like that. They always hurt my head. " She thought wincing in pain.
[CITY HEAD MANSION.]
"HAAAA."
A twisting spear of flames jetted through the air crashing into a wall creating a small crater. A boy with orange curly hair was breathing hard as sweat ran off his body.
His lean muscles jolted like spasms as he dropped to the floor.
"He's been at it for a weeks. He hasn't even been to school." A older boy with blonde hair spoke.
"Yea, poor kid, father must have really handed him a hard one." Another boy with blonde hair spoke.
"Hey Taylen. What has your panties in a bunch."
"Shut up Luke."
"Hey man, we understand. If I got my ass kicked by a nobody I'd be pissed too." Luke said making Duke laugh.
"You too Duke, I I'll show both of you." Taylen shouted getting back up generating two spiraling fire balls.
They shot down with accuracy while gradually growing in size. Luke and Duke smiled and laughed while holding out their hands to block it when a much larger man stepped in front of them with cutting eyes.
The flames hit his back bouncing off and explodeded a few meters away.
"Sorry father, we were just giving him a hard time. Yea we didn't think he would get that pissed off." They said backing up a little.
He turned around to face Taylen who was standing there with twitching eyebrows.
"Don't ever attack your brothers with such intent. If you want to be angry, be angry at yourself for being weak." He said calmly.
