Chapter 1166 - Desperate Situation - Black's Smile!

Black held Harry by the shoulders as he kicked the air to remain suspended in the sky.

There were eyes on him.

The Order of Immortal Lotus was watching the slaughter happen, even if none of its pawns could barge through the Bounded Field set up by Dumbledore using a Half-Deep One's help.

The Black Death Spell cast by the Pillar Madam Villanelle had surpassed all of Ad Infinitum's computations.

It was obvious to him that she had somehow trapped her counterpart from this timeline outside the field before sending a shadow to Hogwarts Grounds using blood magic or the origin they shared between them.

Thinking that Pillar Madam Villanelle would have just ignored these people if Darcie had gone out with her was a mistake as well.

She had come here with a single mind to eradicate the Mirror Timeline's Characters, excluding Darcie.

Then there was the Spell itself.

Black wouldn't be surprised if the Witch of Endor had personally elevated Pillar Madam Villanelle's magical prowess, bestowing such a beautiful Spell upon her.

One thing was sure, though.

If they didn't find a counter to this Spell soon enough, then there was no saving a single person or creature within the Hogwarts Grounds.

A person infected with the bubonic plague could still survive for a week or so.

But this plague was not the same as the one that had killed millions.

Not only was it magical, making the vaccine readily available in the Muggle world useless, but the rate at which it spread and killed those infected was much, much faster as well.

Even from here, Black could see men dying who had just been infected mere hours ago.

With hundreds of thousands of rats, it wouldn't come as a surprise that every single one of them ended up getting infected, including him and Darcie.

If there was one thing that had left an extreme impression on Kai's heart since his resurrection, then it was Corruption; no matter in which form he encountered it.

Witch of Endor's Black Death didn't seem Corruption, but…

Black didn't want to try his luck with it.

Frowning, he looked away from the hell, his gaze zooming in on another corner.

Daphne, Hermione, and Ron were running around, killing as many rats as they could, Pikachu clearing the grounds for them ahead.

Lightning was extremely effective against Dark Arts, especially the ones that revolved around diseases and infections, even if the said lightning was a product of a dead Pokemon.

That's why, when Daphne had used her Grimoire to summon an outer-dimensional magical creature, he had chosen Pikachu for the task.

If this threat hadn't stemmed from Pillars, then he could have let her summon a random Legendary Pokemon, even though its Grade would have been much lower.

But Pillars were not only Characters from a Pillar Timeline.

One of the most characteristic traits about them was that they were aware of their status. They knew the Sevenfold Path of Multiverse; most of it, if not everything. They knew of the Bubbles and, in turn, knew how to reach them. It was especially so if a Pillar Timeline wanted them to make contact, encouraging such cross-Bubble exchange of Characters.

Add Contestants into the mix, and Pillars almost knew everything that was there to know.

So, it wouldn't surprise Black at all that they knew these outer-dimensional creatures were Pokemon.

If not, then the Order of Immortal Lotus must have told them, too.

Till now, even the Six must have been blaming this inexplicable phenomenon on the Mirror Timeline, just like they thought that his Ancient Magical Script was bestowed upon him by Her as well.

But, summoning a Legendary Pokemon to take care of this mess fast, if not instantly, would definitely spook them.

Because it wouldn't be a coincidental appearance of a Pokemon suited to the situation anymore, but a deliberate one.

So Daphne, one of Black's wildest cards, was useless as well.

The only one who could remotely do anything was Draco, Disapparating with the people one by one.

But Darcie had already stopped him from doing so.

Because, here, at least, people were surviving by fighting off the rats.

Outside, the Pillar Timeline's forces would hunt them down one by one.

Suddenly, Yellow Crystals danced in Black's eyes, as scenes from one of the Faceless Contestants he had planted in Voldemort's army rushed into his head.

Ultramarines… Black chewed upon the word. So, they indeed brought external help…

Then, slowly, a smile began surfacing on his lips, broadening to become a wild grin.

[Timeline,] Black asked, knowing that She must be raging already, seeing Her Characters getting slaughtered left and right. [Do I have your permission to seek external help for my Main Mission?]

Kai's Main Mission had a Time Limit that would last till the very end of Hogwarts' Seventh Year.

A slaughter of the entire world before that would effectively mean that he was incapable of finishing his Main Mission.

But, unless that slaughter happened because of outsiders, Kai had no choice but to handle it by himself.

The Pillars were not outsiders, no matter if they were from a Pillar Timeline, as long as they hadn't surpassed their timeline's restrictions.

Otherwise, the Mirror Timeline Herself would have acted against them, just like She had acted so many times against Herpo the Foul.

The Ultramarines brought by the Pillars to avoid deaths on their side, though… were.

If the Mirror Timeline hadn't acted against them already, then it only meant that they had already become citizens of the Pillar Harry Potter Timeline.

It still gave Kai enough leeway to act upon their original outsider status.

The Pillars must have known about it as well.

For them to go ahead with bringing the Ultramarines here anyway could only be because of one reason — they truly believed that they had trapped the Yellow Warlock — Contestant Red — along with Dumbledore, Voldemort, and Ekrizdis.

That left them to worry about the other White Serpent Pirates.

But, with Darth Kars and Herpo the Foul on the Pillars' side, they were sure that Red's underlings wouldn't be able to hinder their plans, either.

[Do it!] Timeline screamed with obvious urgency. [They are ruining everything!]

Black let the Ultramarines slaughter Voldemort's army, though.

What if Mirror Timeline were to use this High Priestess Momo as another candidate of Supreme Providence?

There was no need of wild card entries so late in the game, Black believed.

So, once he had gotten a good measure of the Ultramarines through Echoes, he finally played his card, summoning an equal power from outside.

Conspiring against a Conspirer… Black thought, kicking toward Hogwarts. When has that ever worked out for anyone?
