Chapter 324 - New Normal

Chapter 324 New Normal

Aleshia woke up to her usual day, but it seemed she had overslept. As her body moved, her mind slowly caught up, and she realized that it was Lucia who was in control. Looking through their shared eyes, Aleshia saw that Lucia was teaching a classroom full of students. At first, Aleshia considered taking over, but she decided to relax her hold. There was nothing scheduled for the day, and no urgent tasks required her attention.

After watching for a while, Aleshia heard the bell tower ringing, signaling that it was time for recess. Some kids rushed out the door to play, while others stayed in the classroom, turning it into their own little playroom. Meanwhile, a few students continued to review their lessons, working to understand what they had learned, referencing the information displayed on the big board.

The day continued, becoming the new normal for these kids. When the next bell rang, those who had left returned to take their seats. During the class, students asked questions, which Lucia answered without much trouble. She illustrated her explanations and solutions on the board, simplifying abstract concepts through visual aids. Eventually, class time came to an end. The kids cleaned up their stations and cleared the images on the crystal-like slates, preserving their work on the main teacher's board.

When all the students left to do their own things, Lucia shared her thoughts. "It's kind of nice to be able to communicate with others without any trouble and to teach them. It still takes time and effort to get things going, but that's what I enjoy about it. It's more challenging than the magic I have been granted and naturally use. Anyway, how did you think my teaching went?" Lucia asked, after going off on a bit of a tangent.

Aleshia wasn't expecting Lucia to realize she was awake, but she responded, "It was very good. I have no reason to criticize you for anything you have done throughout the class. You have been fair and have helped them understand what you were teaching." Aleshia complimented.

Lucia felt bashful after receiving Aleshia's praise, but calmed down when the moment passed. "We should check on the people we've healed next," Lucia suggested. "Once we confirm that everyone has fully recovered, we can leave this place."

Lucia could feel Aleshia's and, surprisingly, Kelly's faint response permeating throughout the body. She elaborated on her reasoning. "What we have learned and accomplished has been valuable, and we've gained a lot of insight into how to cure people. Although I wouldn't expect the spell to work, after all, we found it in that strange spellbook, so she must have already tried it on herself."
