Chapter 7 - Spirit Ore

"Where is Little Wesley? Why hasn't he come?"

Jackson asked, looking at his two sons.

Uncle Barry and Jordan, the two brothers, looked at each other and shook their heads.

"Send someone to check and tell Little Wesley to come over for dinner."

After Jackson finished speaking, he picked up his chopsticks.

"Alright, Dad!"

Uncle Barry nodded, then looked at his wife, Rosie.

Rosie understood and got up to walk out of the main hall; usually, the trivial matters in the Wayne Family were managed by Rosie.

Not long after, Wesley followed Rosie into the main hall of the Wayne Family.

"Grandpa, Uncle, Second Uncle, Second Aunt, hello!"

Wesley smiled and greeted them one by one, then sat in his usual spot.

"Hmm, now that you're here, let's eat," Jackson said.

After the meal, while Wesley was playing with his two cousins, he heard his uncle's question.

"Little Wesley, isn't your school conducting the final test tomorrow for those who haven't awakened their Beast Taming Space?"

"That's right, Uncle, why do you ask?"

Wesley looked up at his uncle, looking confused. His uncle never concerned himself with his affairs; today was a bit unusual.

"It's like this. Today, I received some things that Third Brother and his wife sent back from the border, entrusting someone to bring them to you. They said it might be helpful for your awakening of the Beast Taming Space."

After Uncle Barry finished speaking, he clapped his hands, and two servants of the Wayne Family carried in a black iron box.

"Uncle, what is this?" Wesley stood up, patted the iron box, and continued to ask, "By the way, Uncle, other than giving me these things, did my parents say anything else?"

"Haha, Little Wesley, these are treasures. Open them and see for yourself."

Uncle Barry was amiable and laughed out loud.

"Your parents said that if their son is destined to live an ordinary life, they will guard your ordinary life. Don't carry too much of a burden; treat the current world with an ordinary heart."

From his uncle's words, Wesley could feel the care and love from his parents, who were at the border.

"So, Little Wesley, although our Wayne Family is a Beast Master family, we have always been united. Don't listen to gossip among the servants. The Wayne Family will always be your strong backing."

Second Uncle Jordan picked up his little daughter and looked at Wesley with a kind expression.

"Hmm! Uncle, Second Uncle, I understand."

Wesley smiled, then opened the black box in front of everyone.

Inside the black box, four or five red stones were emitting a faint light.

"This is? spirit ore!"

Wesley's eyes widened. He recognized this kind of ore; it contained rich spiritual energy and was a treasure that could not be measured by money.

spirit ore was a unique ore that had been generated since the spiritual energy recovery on Blue Star. It was extremely rare and could not only increase the probability of awakening the Beast Taming Space but also help Beast Masters cultivate.

Currently, the Eagle Federation only possessed five spirit ore mines, all of which were controlled by the Federation. Only those who made contributions to the Federation could be rewarded with this spirit ore.

His parents were actually able to obtain spirit ore; they must have had remarkable achievements in their battles against fierce beasts to be rewarded by their superiors.

Thinking of this, Wesley felt that the few pieces of spirit ore in front of him were as heavy as a thousand pounds. These were treasures his parents had exchanged for with countless life-threatening situations.

Now that he had received these without doing anything, he felt truly useless.

"Third Brother and his wife have grown significantly in strength at the border. If I remember correctly, one can only be rewarded with spirit ore for cultivation by the Federation if they slay fierce beasts above the seventh star."

Second Uncle Jordan said with a smile. Even he had only used one piece of spirit ore for cultivation, which had been given to them by the old man, Jackson.

"That is natural. Third Brother's Beast Taming Talent is unparalleled. The commanders of the four major borders are all competing to take him as an apprentice."

"It's still because our Wayne Family's old man has good genes, giving birth to such an excellent Third Brother."

Uncle looked happy and secretly glanced at the old man.

Aunt and Second Aunt didn't say anything, but their eyes, looking at the spirit ore, also revealed shock.

"Alright!" The old man said with a full face of smiles, "Little Wesley, take advantage of the fact that there is still one night left. Take these pieces of spirit ore back and hurry up and absorb them."

"Grandpa, this is too much. I only need to absorb one piece, leave the rest for the family."

Wesley didn't want to waste this precious spirit ore. Rather than using it all on an unknown variable like him, it would be better to leave it for the family to cultivate.

"Little Wesley, Grandpa understands what you mean. This is what your parents gave you. Don't think too much; just do your best."

"Besides, it's just a few pieces of spirit ore. It's not like our Wayne Family can't afford to buy them. You can use them with peace of mind."

Hearing his grandfather's words and seeing the refusal in his uncle and second uncle's eyes, Wesley didn't say anything more and picked up the spirit ore.

After Wesley returned to his room, he immediately began to sit in meditation and cultivate. He held the crystal-clear red spirit ore in his hand, which gave a very gentle feeling.

"My Earth Flowing Water, Thunder Breaking Qi Harmony, Planet Shifting, Using Power to Guide the Tiger..."

The Thunder Tiger Art was activated, and the spiritual energy contained in the spirit ore was quickly drawn and absorbed into Wesley's body. As time passed, the crystal-clear spirit ore gradually became dull and lifeless.

"Phew!"

An hour later, Wesley opened his eyes and let out a long breath.

Aside from feeling a warmth in his lower abdomen, there was no other change in his body.

The red spirit ore he was holding in his hand had turned black-red, indicating that this piece of spirit ore had been completely absorbed and had become waste stone.

"Keep going!"

Wesley picked up another piece of spirit ore and started to cultivate.

Two hours later, Wesley did not stop and continued to pick up the third piece of spirit ore to cultivate.

Until the last piece of spirit ore was held in Wesley's hand, the feeling coming from his lower abdomen was no longer warmth, but a hint of pain.

"Ah, hiss! I can't absorb any more spiritual energy to cultivate!"

Wesley hurriedly opened his eyes and stopped the Thunder Tiger Art, fine sweat seeping out on his forehead.

Although spirit ore could greatly increase the speed at which a Beast Master absorbed spiritual energy, one had to know when to stop, unless one wanted to explode and die.

Under normal circumstances, a Beast Master could cultivate for a whole day by absorbing the spiritual energy of one piece of spirit ore; anything more was just a waste.

Not to mention that Wesley was someone who hadn't even awakened his Beast Taming Space, yet he had absorbed the spiritual energy of four pieces of spirit ore in one night before feeling his body's resistance.

Wesley didn't know the reason. Apart from the slight pain just now, his whole body didn't have any other uncomfortable reactions during the process of absorbing spiritual energy and cultivating.

"Could it be that there is something wrong with my physique? Or is it that I am different from others and can absorb more spiritual energy?"

The sky was already bright. Wesley, who had been cultivating all night, didn't feel any sleepiness at all; instead, he felt refreshed.

Wesley put away the last remaining spirit ore. Next was the moment to face fate. Whether he could awaken his Beast Taming Space and become a Beast Master depended on today.

As usual, Wesley left the Wayne Family after breakfast and headed towards the school.

At the dining table, Wesley's grandfather, uncle, and second uncle didn't ask how Wesley's cultivation went, only giving him encouraging looks.

Aquilopolis City No. 1 High School was very lively today. All the students in the third year of high school who hadn't awakened their Beast Taming Space were to undergo their final test and awakening today.

Success or failure depended on this one move. Whether it was a mule or a horse, everything would be revealed today.

"Fatty, you came quite early!"

Wesley moonwalked to the school gate and saw Billy squatting at the school gate, looking at the long-legged female students.

"Damn! Who are you calling Fatty? I'm strong, you know."

Billy retracted his gaze and gave Wesley, who was across the road, the middle finger.

"Dog Wesley, you came so late today. Did you solo queue alone last night? Looking at how listless you are, you must have dropped a lot of loot."

On the way to the classroom, Billy said with a look of insight.

"Go, go, go. Do you think I'm like you? But I really didn't sleep last night; I cultivated all night."

Wesley kicked Billy and replied angrily.

"Brother Wesley, neither of us has awakened our Beast Taming Space. No matter how hard we cultivate, it's useless. It's not like you don't know."

"Yeah, I know. And then?" Wesley asked back.

"Uh, this! Pretend I didn't say anything." Seeing Wesley's expression of giving up, Billy was choked and had nothing to say.

"Hey, I said Fat Dog, are you afraid that I will awaken my Beast Taming Space!"

"Tch, ugly people think too much. So, you cultivated all night, can you awaken your Beast Taming Space today?" Billy looked profound.

"Haha, who knows!" Wesley laughed out loud.
