Patrick Dumont has a stout figure, a round head, and a short, thick neck. When he smiles, there's a shallow gap between his front teeth that makes him look a bit comical.
He grew up in Brooklyn, coming from an ordinary family. In 2003, he earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, then pursued an MBA at Columbia Business School. It was this MBA experience that changed his fate.
At Columbia Business School, he met Sheldon Adelson's stepdaughter, Miriam Adelson's daughter with her first husband, Siwan Osschorn. The two fell in love and married in 2009.
Although Siwan Osschorn is just Adelson's stepdaughter, Miriam is Adelson's second wife, yet Miriam holds a very important position in Adelson's casino business, equivalent to Wang Fuxi's position in the Gan Family.
