Chapter 33 - A Nightmare

By now, Om had taken down every single one of Shura's men.

And yet—

Shura was still standing there.

Frozen.

His eyes were locked onto the two men who had fallen first… unblinking, unmoving. It was hard to tell if he was even seeing anything anymore. The shock had hit him so hard, it felt like his mind had just… stopped.

Then suddenly—

Screams echoed from the forest.

Shura snapped out of it, his body jolting as if someone had shaken him awake. He was still trying to process what had just happened—

When he saw Om standing right in front of him again.

He couldn't understand anything anymore.

Not the speed.

Not the silence.

Not the destruction.

"Your men are all resting now… so I was thinking, maybe you should get some rest too. What do you say?"

Om said casually, smiling like he was just having a normal conversation.

Shura blinked, forcing himself back to reality. He quickly looked around—

No one was standing.

Not one.

The same men who had been shouting, laughing, full of life just minutes ago… were now scattered across the ground.

Broken.

Unconscious.

Defeated.

Fear crept into Shura's eyes.

"You… you don't know who my boss is. You have no idea what he'll do to you if you try anything smart. If you care about your family… then let me walk out of here alive. I'm warning you… you'll regret this."

His voice shook.

For the first time, the fear was clear.

Now he understood why Singhania had tried to stop him.

The way Om had crushed his men… in the blink of an eye—

Death didn't feel far anymore.

Shura realized it too late.

No one had ever heard of Om before.

No name.

No history.

And yet—

He stood here like a storm no one saw coming.

Om let out a small breath… almost amused.

"If I was scared of your boss… I wouldn't be here, standing in front of you. I would've left this city long ago."

His voice turned cold.

"I'm not afraid of fools… or their leader. And as for my family—if you people really don't value your lives, then go ahead… try touching them."

He stepped closer.

"My name is Om. Tell your boss. And tell him—whoever he sends, send them to me directly. But if anyone even thinks about my family or my friends…"

His eyes darkened.

"…then Om won't just be a name anymore. It'll be a disaster."

He paused.

"Relax. I won't kill you. If I kill you too… then who's going to go back and deliver the message?"

Before Shura could react—

Om grabbed his arm.

And with a single punch—

CRACK.

The sound of bone breaking echoed through the forest.

Shura screamed.

A raw, horrifying scream.

He clutched his arm, his body shaking in unbearable pain. He tried to move it—

But it was useless.

Broken.

Completely.

Rage and pain took over his mind.

"You… I'll destroy you! I swear—with these very hands, I'll slit the throats of your two sisters!"

The moment those words left his mouth—

Everything changed.

Om stopped.

For the first time—

There was anger in his eyes.

Pure. Cold. Dangerous.

"Then… those hands are a problem."

His voice dropped.

And just like that—

Shura's entire body froze.

Fear surged through him.

Real fear.

Om bent down…

Picked up a sword lying on the ground.

Shura's throat went dry.

Regret hit him instantly.

He tried to run.

Took a few desperate steps—

And suddenly—

Om was right in front of him again.

There was no escaping him.

Panic took over.

In desperation, Shura tried to attack—

But it was useless.

Om struck him with the handle of the sword.

A heavy blow.

Shura collapsed to the ground, unable even to sit up properly from the pain.

"Please… stop… let me go… I'm begging you…"

He dragged himself backward on the ground, trembling.

"I made a mistake… please forgive me. I won't ever come in front of you again. I'll leave everything… just let me go…"

Om kept walking toward him.

Slow.

Steady.

Unstoppable.

"Take anything… I'll give you anything… I'll even kill Singhania for you… I'll make you rich… just let me go… please…"

But Om didn't stop.

Didn't listen.

Didn't care.

In one swift move—

He struck Shura's leg.

Another scream tore through the forest.

Shura looked up at the sky, crying out—

And then suddenly—

He felt it.

His arms.

They weren't moving.

He looked down.

And his world shattered.

Both his hands—

Gone.

Cut clean.

Blood gushed out, splashing the ground.

His screams turned into something inhuman.

Then—

Silence.

Shura collapsed.

Unconscious.

His severed hands lay nearby… lifeless, soaked in blood.

Even after all that—

Om was still breathing heavily.

Still angry.

But he knew how to control himself.

Slowly… he calmed down.

Looked at Shura.

"I'm sorry… but if you hadn't taken my sisters' names, you could've lived a better life. Maybe this… is just the result of your actions."

His voice was steady again.

"Now remember this—both you and your boss. If you ever go after my family again… I'll make you experience a kind of death you haven't even heard of."

He turned away.

"Take it as a warning… or a promise. Your choice."

Om threw the sword aside.

Walked to his car.

Came back with a first aid kit.

And then—

He stopped the bleeding.

Wrapped Shura's wounds carefully.

Saving the very man he had just destroyed.

Once he was done—

Om got into his car…

And left.

As if nothing had happened.

After some time—

One of Shura's men regained consciousness.

Groaning, he staggered toward the car.

As he got closer, he saw the others already gathered there.

Standing still.

Silent.

"Why are you all standing like this…? Did that boy die… or is Shura dead?"

He pushed forward—

And then he saw it.

His body froze.

His expression changed.

Fear shot through him like electricity.

Everyone was staring at the same thing—

Shura.

And his condition.

"Who… who was that boy…?"

One of them whispered, his voice shaking.

Another man replied, barely able to speak—

"He… he wasn't human…"

He swallowed hard.

"He was a monster… he took all of us down alone… and did this to boss Shura…"

Silence filled the forest again.

And this time—

It wasn't just fear.

It was realization.

"He's not human… he's like a messenger of death… sent by Yama himself. That's all I understand… we need to stay as far away from him as possible."

The moment those words were spoken—

Silence fell.

A heavy, suffocating silence.

No one laughed this time.

No one argued.

They just stood there… frozen… staring at what was left of Shura.

And for the first time—

Every single one of them felt it.

Not anger.

Not revenge.

Just fear.

An unknown, creeping fear…

Of a name they would never forget—

Om.
