Telon stood, looking at his opponents. They were strong, no doubt about that.
Even with all his tricks they were still fairly balanced, well not for long that is.
In a place like this with normal citizens hiding and praying for their lives, they couldn't attack at full power.
"The odds are in my favour, so then why are these guys not going down." Telon mused as he looked around.
Protecting people from his stray attacks they had already hurt themselves but yet they just wouldn't die.
No matter. They would fall eventually, Telon smiled as he charged another mana blast in his hands.
Myra stood in the front line, with Felix by her side, his body half metal.
Tina and Rein were evacuating the citizens from the area while Sanis was using her elemental wind magic to clear a path for them.
A horde of undead were laid around them crushed to bits.
It seemed that unless they were crushed to bits, they would keep coming back to life to fight.
"We could really appreciate some help about now." Felix said, with a focused smile.
"Don't worry, help will be here soon, my mother has our location." Myra replied as she flapped the golden wings at her back, causing feather blades to attack Telon.
By using her beast magic and making simple pacts with spiritual animals, she could borrow their body parts, as well as part of her abilities for a limited amount of time.
"Ready on three. One! Two..." Myra was interrupted as two bolts of lightning suddenly landed on the ground with a loud crash.
Covered in the dust, two figures emerged and without wasting time lunged at Telon. "What?" was the only thing he could say before he was frozen in ice.
A fire lasso suddenly around him, yanked him close and swung him before he could move.
Landing exactly where he once was with a crash, the ground began to soften, limiting Telon's movement.
The original rubble and rocks from the other attacks before rose up, stopped midway in the air and with high speed was propelled at Telon.
"Burn"
As the stones connected with Telon's body, engulfed in fire, they began to melt and immediately hardening stuck to his body.
"AAARRGGHHH…." Before he could finish expressing his pain, countless lightning blades struck at him from all angles and the two figures with lightning fast speed punched him from all angles.
Invisible air strikes sliced Telon consecutively.
The first person bent and the second using his back as a stepping stone jumped in the air with a fully crystallized ice hammer.
Swinging it sideways, Telon flew with incredible speed straight into a wall, the first he had moved since the two had arrived.
"Ugh, Oh god, do you do this every time?" Simon said as he sat on the floor to catch his breath, the usage of three abilities immediately after each other tiring him out instantly.
"Yeah,I'm basically the best there is when it comes to one shot combos but this was good, you have good combo potential." Kyrian gave him a thumbs up.
"Lightning is really the best for ambush combos." Simon laughed, lightning trickling through his fingers.
Kevin stretched out his hand, and Simon grabbed it.
"You just stole our kill with that blitzy move" Felix complained, although he was amazed at how clean and coordinated their moves were.
"Shut up, be grateful for once" Myra slapped Felix lightly on the shoulder.
"What took you so long, Kyrian? "
"Oh sorry, we went to Simon's house to stock up" Kyrian replied as he pointed at his hair.
"Now that that's over, let's go and evacuate the rest." Felix said.
The battlefield went quiet.
Too quiet.
"Wait…" Kyrian frowned.
They all turned and started to go back when blood spattered on the ground.
"What?" Time seemed to slow as Myra turned immediately, a dreadful feeling already forming in her stomach.
"Felix!!"
Myra shouted as Telon stood at his back, an undead fist through Felix's stomach.
"Gotcha finally, you really were a pain in the ass, but you left yourself open. Tee hee."
Retracing his hand he jumped back, one of the few remaining stable parts of his body.
From his head to his torso to his legs, they were body parts missing, slowly regenerating.
"Now to assist my mistress" Telon laughed wickedly before disappearing.
Felix collapsed.
The color drained from his face as he fell flat on the ground.
And for the first time since their battle began…no one moved.
