In the letter, Sabrina had stated that,
Dear husband,
I am very grateful for all you have done for me and what you did for me tonight, I'm sorry I couldn't stay and thank you myself for saving my life and the one of our unborn baby. The reason was because I was being called where I belong. By the time you come to read this letter, I will be in Atlanta by then and I don't want you to try to find me. Atlanta is my birth place and I was destined to rule over my people after my parent's death, without me they will be harmed again and it causes me pain so I have to be by their side.
You have nothing to worry about because I will be safe there and so will our baby, I just want you to live happily with Rosaline and her baby too. I am happy I met you and loved you and I don't regret any of it, please move on without me. And please take good care of my mother for me, I know she feel sad that I left but I have no other option but to and I will miss her alot too.
Good bye, Lucian.
He glared at the letter for sometime before walking out of the house without even glancing at the woman who had burst into uncontrollable tears,
Lucian made his way home, his hand and face bloody and his clothes tattered. He walked in the corridors of the dimly lit castle, his shoe clicking softly on the floor as he made his way to a particular door.
He halted in front of a huge door, his face devoid of any emotion, he glared hard at the door before stepping into the room finally,
Rosaline whose eyes had been open, unable to sleep after what happened tonight, she heard the door open and quickly shut her eyes,
"Are you gonna keep playing dead and really die in reality or will you get up?" Lucian said coldly making Rosaline immediately jumped up from the bed,
"You.... You are back? I.... I was waiti-" Rosaline started to be stopped halfway, her mouth hung open.
"Stop," Lucian said before moving closer to her, wary Rosaline moved back scared, "Why are you moving away? And also why are you scared? Did you do something you shouldn't?" He grinned, moving closer.
Rosaline kept moving back, she knew she'd been caught and with the look in his eyes right now, only the heavens can save her from this man now,
"I..... I..... Lucian please -"
"Please?" Lucian repeated the word as he kept moving closer, and so did Rosaline till her back had touched the surface of the wall, her eyes widen while Lucian grinned,
"I don't know why you are pleading with me, my dear. Did you do something wrong?" He asked once again, this time covering the distance between them, he suddenly hold her neck and squeezed it, Rosaline started panicking, trying to gasp for air,
"Please.... Please let...let me go!" Rosaline struggled to say, trying to get his hand off her neck, she clawed into his hand, struggling.
"Please? What did you do?" Lucian asked once again, "I want you to tell me all the bad things you did, then I might reduce your punishment," he said coldly that Rosaline shivered, this was not good, she thought to herself before nodding vigorously.
"Alright, start talking...." He said and Rosaline frowned, how was she supposed to talk with him squeezing the life out of her.
Lucian grinned, then he dropped his hand for Rosaline to gasp out, she coughed hard looking up into Lucian's eyes,
"Is this the extent of your....your love for her! You love her that much!!" Rosaline yelled glaring at the husband she thought loved her unconditionally, just the way she did. Rosaline had thought even if Lucian had found out he would have no choice but to forgive her because he loved her but.....
"Would you start talking now, Rosaline?" Lucian said emotionlessly
"I won't! Not until you answer my question," Rosaline said going even closer to him and staring into his eyes, "Are you going to kill me for her, Lucian?! Go ahead!" She spiked angrily, though scared for her dear life but she knew he wouldn't hurt her at least if not because of her, then because of their child,
"I can," he said then paused, then all of a sudden his eyes went completely black, Rosaline's eyes widen, what just happened to him, she thought.
"Now, I repeat, start talking," he paused then continued, "Did you or did you not assist the witches and helped them capture Sabrina?"
"I.... I did, I never-"
She couldn't complete her sentence as Lucian for the second time grabbed her neck, making her eyes widen and she panicked more as he squeezed her neck looking cold at her,
"You crossed the line, Rosaline. And you know I won't kill you for what you did but I'm going to punish you," he spoke with a grin as his eyes stayed the same color.
He couldn't believe he was feeling this but he was, he missed Sabrina and wanted her back but she had long gone into the ocean and had told him to not find her.
