*Sigh*
"This is awful."
This was the third time i have tried (and failed) to write a 'convincing' letter to send to the people at the welfare program so I can become 'qualified' to get a check today.
"Why the hell do i have to write a letter, can't they just come and see how i am living?"
Truly a messed up system.
I took a look at the letter i wrote.
"ples giv me mony i m orfan from slumz i ned mony ples
wiliam"
My handwriting was a little bad, and i might come off as a beggar maybe?
I crumbled up the letter and tossed it across the room. I leaned back on my chair and stared out the window to calm my mind.
The view was beautiful, and by view i mean the sky, not the rundown, disgusting street i am living in, where i am pretty sure that there was a drug deal hapenning across.
Few stars shone above with beautiful red light. And the magnificent moon, crimson as if it was covered with blood, shone brightly amidst the vast expanse of the dark sky, which was also red.
I squinted my eyes.
"Why is the sky... red?"
Why is everything turning red?
I felt blood rushing up my head, accompanied with extreme pain. I clutched my head tightly and started screaming.
It felt as if my brain was going to burst. I tilted my body a little too much and fell out of my chair. The pain only got worse, and an intense feeling of despair filled me. I started banging my head on the hard ground hoping i would either pass out or even die to escape this pain.
And finally, after what felt like forever, my vision turned black.
*****
I opened my eyes to a dark black sky. I stared above for a while till my brain starts to process what's happening.
I felt a prickling sensation on my back and legs.
"Grass..?"
I slowly sat upright and took a look around.
I was laying in what seemed to be a massive forest with trees all around me.
Right next to me was a tree with something leaning on it.
I slowly made my way towards it, and took the object leaning on it, it was a rifle, and on the ground next to it was a flashlight.
*Sigh*
I sat on the grass hugging the rifle with my right hand and hilding the flash light in my left, and leaned on the tree where the rifle was.
"Where the hell am i?"
My mind felt foggy and it was hard to think, so i couldn't really ponder on that question. I closed my eyes for a few minutes, then after feeling like my mind was a bit clearer, i opened them again taking a look on what layed infront of me.
I stared for a while, then for some reason, i could barely make out a faint silhouette of a man crouching beside a tree far away.
At first i thought i was hallucinating, but then alarms rang out in my head. Trusting my gut, i wildly dove away from the tree.
*Crunch*
A bullet struck the tree, right where my head was. I scrambled to hide behind the tree. I was painicking, i sat in a fetal position behind the tree, scared that any part of my body may not be hidden by it, and hugged the rifle like my life depended on it, which in a sense, it did.
"What the fuck is happening?"
