Chapter : 16 : Discussion At The Hokage Office : ( Part : 2 ) :
Location : Konohagakure No Sato : Hokage Office :
" Alright listen to me very carefully I have made a basic plan for now . "
Hearing this everyone looked at the strategist in anticipation .
Although according to Shikamaru the plan he created was just a basic rough work .
But to the people other than him in the room it was more than anything they can come up with .
As a man with an IQ over 200 and along with the Nara clan genius - Nara Shikamaru was by all means one of the smartest person in the world .
So obviously his thinking was way beyond most people like them .
Unaware of what they others while thinking shikamaru continue to stroke his beard and explain the plan .
" First of all let's see what we know so far. "
With that we started to raise his fingers as he the counted 1 point after another .
" First of all we know that in the future the shinobi world will face more than one enemies or worse an entire army of powerful beings . "
" And most likely these enemies will be strong enough to defeat Naruto if the nine tail energy in the prophecy represents him . "
Hearing this everyone's faces were full of worry and a grim determination .
Uzumaki Naruto their dear friend , student and hokage was the hero of shinobi world .
And there was no question that he was one of the strongest shinobi alive.
So if someone or a group of unknown enemy can defeat him or subdue him then it means the power of the other side is considerably strong .
And this is a very dengerous and worrying situation .
And if someone like Naruto can't handle the situation then the hopes of anyone else handling the situation was also very slim .
Even Naruto understood that .
Since the end of the fourth great shinobi war both Naruto and Sasuke have not been behind their training .
And while his work as the hokage demanded his attention more towards the village work and other things he did not leave his training behind .
Infact after becoming the hokage and a husband and a father - Naruto's determination to continue his training along side kurama to polish his existing techniques and learn new skills have only increased .
After all now he was no longer alone .
Now he had the entire village , a beautiful wife and children's to protect .
But after hearing about the prophecy and the scene described by the great toad sage Gamamaru, he would be lying if he said he was not shaken up .
Yes ! he always understood that one day the new generation will take over his role and surpass him .
And he genuinely wished for that future .
But for that he wanted to give the younger generation like his son , his daughter and everyone else the time they needed .
And Naruto knew that everyone in the room shared the same feeling .
Being grown up in a time of mistrust between the great villages and a time of constant struggle their priorities were different from the new generation .
During that time they had to grow stronger because being strong decided their survival .
Even for Naruto becoming strong enough so that he can become the hokage and get the village to accept him was a struggle .
But now the times have changed and it was a time of peace .
And they wanted there children's not to single mindedly chase strength and power but to enjoy the childhood that they are having now .
But now it seems that the era of struggle has yet to be over and no matter how much they tried the next generation will have to grow up fast and strong .
But as the older generation it was their duty to protect the younger generation .
Although everyone understood that one day their childrens and grandchildrens will have to fight their own battles that does not mean that they will not do what they can .
And even if it meant that he was no longer the child of prophecy he was still Naruto Uzumaki and never giving up is his Ninja way .
With that thought in mind Naruto continued to listen to Shikamaru's plan .
" The second thing we know for certain is that the hope is not lost yet . "
" The second child of prophecy that the great toad sage Gamamaru described seemed to have more power than any other shinobi we have ever seen in our life . "
" And if we want to have any hope of defeating those enemies in the future we will need the help of this child . "
Shikamaru looked at everyone making sure the understand the importance of this matter .
" We know that this child will most likely have the power of wood release. "
" Along with that there is a possibility that he or she might be connected to some very ancient creatures which presents an entirely new unknown variable to this volatile situation . "
With that he took a deep breath and said .
" So I propose that from this day onward we start searching for such a extraordinary child within our village . "
" We should start looking by everyone who is entering the Academy . "
" Right now if this new child of profecy is among those new students then there is a possibility that his or her talent will be revealed during this time . "
With that shikamaru look towards Iruka sensei .
" Iruka sensei I want you to look and verify for any potential candidate among the students in the academy . " - hearing this Iruka sensei gave a firm nod .
" Why do you think that there is the possibility of this new child of prophecy being among the new generation of students in the academy ? "
At this time suddenly Shizune asked the question that was in her mind .
After all nothing specifically said that whoever this new child of prophecy was going to be a new student at the Academy .
Hell ! they don't even know that if this new child of property was born yet .
However shikamaru had already anticipated this question might be brought up so he had a answer ready .
" Remember the great sage said that when the nine tail Fox energy was being suppressed by those enemies and darkness was taking over the world he saw a little sapling growing out of the earth from where the light finally begin ." - Shikamaru started telling like he was giving out some ancient wisdom .
" And while this is not a complete evidence but usually a little sapling is a symbol of a new life or a younger generation . "
" Also the reason I am putting such importance in the young Academy students is because of the timing. "
This caught everyone's attention .
" Think about it ! we have only recently done our academy entrance exam and only after a few days this message arrived . " - Shikamaru continued to say .
" While it can simply be a coincidence but I believe that it is not. "
At this moment finally after hearing his words the situation clicked to everyone who did not understand his reasoning before.
After all you cannot find the exact information about the child of prophecy because even the great sage Gamamaru didn't see his or her face and name .
For example lord Jiraiya who was a legendary shinobi and the teacher of both 4th and the current 8
7th hokage spend a huge amount of his time to find the child of prophecy all around the shinobi world .
The Prophecy this time was different from the previous one but it still did not provide that much information .
So they could only take blind guesses at this point and always remain vigilant .
But still the point put forward by Shikamaru was convincing enough .
After all if the person was already born and a shinobi out of the Academy then the chances of him or her revealing his or her true potential or something extraordinary would have been much more visible .
But over the years while they have seen many talented shinobis in the village none are on the level where they can be even compared to the child of profecy .
On the other hand if they were to look at all the young people who are born in the village there would be an outstanding number of them.
So if they started searching every person blindly they would most certainly never find this child of prophecy .
Or even if they did find him or her it would take a lot of time .
And time is something that is perhaps not on their side .
So having an idea about the searching process will help them to sort out things in a faster and efficient manner .
" Then we should immediately tell the other villages about it as well . " - Tsunade said .
But much to her surprise both Shikamaru and Naruto shook their head at her proposal .
" About this matter I think we should not tell the other villages yet . " - Shikamaru said .
Hearing this everyone in the room looked either shocked or confused .
" Why is that ? "
After all the Great toad sage never said that the child of prophecy will be in Konoha .
They could be in the Sunagakure , Iwagakure or any other major or small villages .
If they tell their allies right now certainly they can find what they want much faster.
Especially in a time of peace like this where are there are cooperation between the major villages this should not be a problem .
Seeing the question in everyone's eyes Shikamaru decided to clear the situation for them .
" Right now we are the only onct to know about this profecy . " - everyone nodded at that .
" But how can we be sure that the enemies the Great toad sage Gamamaru saw in his dream are already here or not . "
This was like a thunder on everyone in the room as they finally understood the point they have all missed .
Exactly ! How could they be sure that the enemy was not there .
All the knew that this enemy in the future would be powerful enough to be a problem to someone like Naruto.
Except for that they did not knew anything about them .
What were their powers ? What were their origin ? Nothing .
So how could they be sure that these enemies were not already hiding in the shinobi world .
Any wrong move from them now could alert the other side and possibly even put the next child of prophecy in denger .
" So for now I suggest to keep this matter quiet to yourselves and we will tell Sasuke about it as well and see if he can find anything in his journey . " - Naruto said as he stood up from his chair .
" And once we are sure that everything is alright we will slowly discuss this matter with the other villages . "
Naruto now looked at everyone in the room with the same determination in his eyes that defined his entire character .
" Let's do our best so that we can find this new child of prophecy as soon as possible .
" Yess !!!! "
With that everyone left the room all with a determination to find this new child of prophecy as soon as possible .
And while the future was not set in stone but one thing that became clear in today's meeting was that from now onwards the future will no longer remain simple .
