It was like an atomic bomb had been dropped right in the middle of all four, sending them blasting away in different directions.
SPLAAATTER
Blood splashed into the air as some roughly slammed into the edge of the building, the force enough to cut through fell and spray blood into the air.
Crawling silence followed as White's hands quietly fell back to his sides.
He wasn't able to rejoice when,
RIIIIIING!
His grin was wiped off as he suddenly collapsed on his knees.
His hand clenched his head, feeling a throbbing headache, as the panel flashed:
[ENERGY: 0/50]
[It takes away massive energy, remember?]
The panel explained the reason for his exhaustion, though he only remained weak for a couple of seconds before forcing himself back to his feet.
All of the boys had been knocked unconscious, lying flat on their chests.
The only exception was the chubby body covered in snot, with eyes widened in disbelief.
He had wanted to test how powerful the attack was and how it worked, and now he had seen it.
Quietly, he stepped out of the alleyway.
The chubby boy looked at the unconscious bodies of the other boys.
He ran to each of them, stepping on their faces and taking a picture of his foot on each one, before also speeding out of the alleyway.
______
Once he was out of the alleyway, White took a random direction and began walking quietly, though on his face was the unmistakable grin of happiness.
It was so wide that the system commented.
[Sick abilities, huh?]
It said, and White chuckled.
"It's good!"
To be honest, he had felt like he shot himself in the foot ever since he copied the Limitless Ability.
A bloodline with a bad reputation and hard to control.
Yeah, even if it was S-grade, it wasn't exactly something to rejoice about.
But now, with what he just did, easily matched the power of four newcomers like him and blowing them all unconscious with a single limitless ability?
Now that was enough to wipe away all of his regret.
He knew this wasn't possible by normal standards.
The one he had copied the ability from, Nova, definitely couldn't have reached this level, despite him knowing about the ability better than him.
It was a joyful feeling of growth that White couldn't contain.
But thinking back to the skirmish, he remembered a couple of alarming things, and he called to the system.
"Hey system?"
[Yes.]
"Can you create me an Energy panel? I ran out of energy back then, all of a sudden and without warning."
"If there was one more person I had to fight. I would have been beaten badly due to exhaustion."
"I need a way to know call up my energy panel amidst a fight and see how much I've got left..."
[Done.]
The system panel flashed, and what followed next was simple:
[Energy: 10/50]
[You can call out Energy during your fights and the panel will appear. For now, it will be stored on the system interface.]
The system said this to him, and he nodded.
Now he could be more aware in his fights.
As for how to increase the cap of his energy being at 50, that was obviously through reaching higher levels of cultivation.
DRIIING!
A sudden reverberation made him turn to his wrist.
There, a light undulated from the runic watch, and a notification appeared:
[NEW MISSION]
[General Xcyber Class Begins in 12 Hours.]
[Location: General Cyber Hall. 2nd Storey Teleportation.]
White's eyes gleamed as he looked around him.
The rest of the students had also paused, looking at their runic watches, showing that it had been sent to all of them.
Since it was in 12 hours, there wasn't much need to rush, but still, White determined:
If he was going to take a walk around, he might as well get familiar with the newcomer area and recognize the location where the class would take place.
With that in mind, he opened the map on the runic watch and began walking, following the map.
He quickly arrived in a different area of the academy: the Subjects Area.
Here, modern skyscrapers filled his line of sight, a stark contrast compared to the castle-like area behind him.
Among the various skyscrapers, he was able to narrow down the right one: the Xcyber Hall.
It was a ten-story building, and since it mentioned the 2nd Storey Teleportation, the class must take place on something connected to the 2nd floor.
He didn't step in; he only came to confirm the location.
"Now, I record how long it will take me to walk from the dorm to here."
He mused, carefully setting a timer as he began his walk back.
Fortunately for him, it was relatively uneventful.
While some students were being targeted by others, he wasn't approached, probably because he took the clear main path where most students and even instructors were passing.
When he reached his dorm room, he checked the time:
"18 Minutes: 45 seconds."
He recited it out loud, followed by a DIIING from the elevator as he stepped out, his eyes fixed on the watch.
"I guess I'll only need to leave 20 minutes before class starts."
He mused, but suddenly paused when he felt a slight rustle in the air.
Unconsciously, he jerked his head back.
Halting in place, his senses didn't fail him as he looked forward and found a finger pointed right at his forehead.
It would have obviously touched him if he hadn't moved back.
Before him stood a lady.
She was tall for a woman, standing at White's 1.9-meter height.
Her long pink hair framed her face, and her eyes seemed to release motes of pink every time she blinked.
What really took White's attention was her forehead.
There was something there, a pink-colored…
