Chapter 732 - Chapter 731: The Thunder Saint, the Divine Spirit Liquid

Chapter 731: The Thunder Saint, the Divine Spirit Liquid

"The master of the cave mansion!"

Brilliant light shimmered across the immense lightning barrier, and in that instant, every gaze turned upward—fixing upon the silver-robed figure who had suddenly appeared above it. Shock rippled through the crowd.

Even Mo Yu and the nine Earth Sovereigns could not hide the changes in their expressions. From their experience and perception, they immediately recognized who that silver-robed figure was—it was the master of this secret treasure, the one who had fallen in the ancient age—the master of the cave mansion himself.

"The cave mansion's master…"

From afar, countless cultivators stared in awe. According to legend, during the primordial era, the Ancient Celestial Palace once unified the entire Tianluo Continent. After its fall, the land descended into chaos.

Amid that turmoil, the Northern Region gave rise to a supreme power known as the Thunder Saint Sect, the undisputed overlord of its time, with its headquarters here in the Bloodrock Realm.

Though the sect was long destroyed for unknown reasons, its sovereign—known as the Thunder Saint—was still remembered across the realm.

At this moment, before the ancient floating hall, all nine Earth Sovereigns—Mo Yu included—remained motionless, their brows furrowed as they watched the silver-robed figure above the barrier. No one dared to act rashly.

Before them stood the Thunder Saint himself, though they all knew he had long since perished. This, then, must be a spiritual remnant left behind—yet even such a remnant's mere presence made nine Earth Sovereigns hesitate.

Between Earth Sovereigns, even the smallest realm difference was a chasm. The being before them, a grandmaster from the primeval era and one who had reached Earth Sovereign Perfection, stood far above their level as lower Sovereigns.

The nine hovered in the air, their eyes locked on the Thunder Saint, as immense waves of spiritual energy gathered around them. Vigilance radiated from every movement.

Then, the silver-robed figure finally opened his eyes. A faint hum rumbled through the heavens as ancient eyelids lifted for the first time in countless ages.

Boom!

Countless bolts of lightning tore through the sky, flooding downward. Within the storm, the Thunder Saint's brilliant silver eyes gleamed like twin lightning worlds, their power enough to chill the soul.

When those eyes opened, Mo Yu felt the vast lightning around them grow more violent, almost as if the thunder itself was roaring in celebration—welcoming back its ancient master.

A power more fearsome than any one of the nine began to emanate slowly from the silver-robed body. Even Zhong Cang's pupils tightened in shock.

"How can the remnant soul of the Thunder Saint hold such power?"

The voice of Zhong Cang, master of the Asura Gate, was grave. No matter how mighty the Thunder Saint had been in life, he had long been dead. For a lingering spirit to still wield such might seemed impossible.

"This may not be an ordinary remnant," said Feng Yuanzi, the aged Dao Palace master, his eyes flashing with insight. "Look—there's no consciousness in those eyes."

Mo Yu and the others took a closer look and indeed saw nothing but emptiness within the Thunder Saint's brilliant silver pupils. There was no trace of awareness—only hollow vacancy.

"That's no normal spirit body," murmured the Blood Shark Pavilion's lord, his tone careful. "If I'm not mistaken, it is a spiritual puppet—one forged by special means. Before his fall, the Thunder Saint must have injected his power into it and used a mysterious technique to preserve it as a guardian."

Mo Yu was inwardly impressed. What remarkable foresight—to create such a puppet capable of standing even now against Earth Sovereigns.

"Hmph! No matter how powerful it is, it can't truly be Earth Sovereign Perfection. As long as it's weaker than that, even an Upper Earth Sovereign—nine of us together should be able to crush it!" shouted the Barbarian Wilderness Sect leader.

"Then let's act together!"

At his command, every one of the others—including Mo Yu and the Feng Emperor—nodded. Breaking through to the hall clearly required defeating this Thunder Saint remnant, and no one here dared undertake that challenge alone.

Boom!

Nine bodies released floods of spiritual energy that surged skyward like roaring rivers of light. The outpour paused the very fabric of space, twisting and cracking under its pressure.

"Go!"

The nine's combined attacks erupted simultaneously. Spiraling torrents of condensed energy lanced through the air like dragons, sweeping toward the silver-robed figure.

In response, the Thunder Saint slowly raised his hands.

Boom!

The thunder sea below shuddered violently. A titanic wave of lightning ascended skyward—formed entirely of condensed spiritual lightning. It gathered around him, solidifying into a colossal silver shield crackling with boundless thunder force. Space shattered wherever the arcs flashed.

Bang! Bang!

Nine powerful energy streams collided violently against the shield. The heavens shook from the impact, yet the barrier remained intact, holding firm against every strike.

One after another, the spiritual torrents bombarded it until, on the final explosion, the silver lightning shield shattered. Silver radiance burst apart into rain, cascading brilliantly across the sky.

"This Thunder Saint… truly terrifying," Mo Yu whispered, eyes narrowing.

Still, an inner thrill ran through his heart. The Thunder Saint—clearly a master of thunder arts—made this entire inheritance perfectly compatible with his own path.

He could not, would not, leave empty‑handed.

He dove back into the fray.

Boom!

The battle reached blinding intensity. Having witnessed the puppet's power, none of the Bloodrock Realm's seven overlords dared to hold back any longer. They unleashed their full strength, transforming the space around them into luminous worlds of solidified energy. Thunder, light, and wrath engulfed the sky.

Mo Yu and the Feng Emperor launched their own attacks—their resonance of heaven and earth smashing against the raging puppet.

The vast space around the grand hall shattered into chaos, the thunder sea below torn open by gaping rifts that healed only after torrents of molten lightning refilled them.

At last, the Thunder Saint's puppet began to falter. Its brilliance dimmed, the lightning barrier surrounding the hall fracturing under relentless assault.

"Now!"

As cracks spread, Zhong Cang's eyes gleamed sharply. With a flick of his finger, a dazzling sword beam shot forth. The piercing light tore across the sky, slipping through the puppet's defenses and slamming into a corner of the crystalline barrier.

Ssshhh!

A sharp hiss echoed—precious few moments later, a rift split open.

"This is it!"

Zhong Cang transformed into a streak of light, darting through the breach just as it began closing.

Mo Yu's eyes narrowed. "Cunning fox." He exchanged a glance with the Feng Emperor, and both simultaneously imitated the strategy—breaking openings of their own and swiftly slipping inside.

In moments, all nine Earth Sovereigns had entered the grand hall. Curiously, the Thunder Saint's puppet did not intervene. The seven factions' forces outside could only watch helplessly, barred by the unyielding barrier.

Inside the hall, an ancient stillness reigned. Amid scattered ruins, flickers of sacred light shimmered. Two figures appeared—Mo Yu and the Feng Emperor—instantly summoning spiritual protection and scanning their surroundings.

The vast main hall remained eerily silent. No attacks came; it was as though the entire realm itself held its breath.

Suddenly, the Feng Emperor's face tightened. His eyes gleamed with shock as he clenched his fists. "My spiritual power—it's being suppressed!"

As he attempted to circulate his energy, he realized it moved sluggishly, constrained by some strange, invisible force locking down his inner Sovereign Sea.

"Even our level of power can be restricted…" Mo Yu frowned. He could feel it too.

"Well, since we're here, we adapt," he said calmly. "No doubt the others are feeling the same."

Without further hesitation, the two shot deeper toward the hall's core.

The deeper they went, the more vast and unimaginable the interior became—mountains, forests, even deserts stretched within as if the hall were its own miniature world.

After ten minutes of racing travel, they finally slowed. They had reached the center.

Atop a misty azure peak, they emerged and beheld an enormous lake—tens of thousands of feet wide, its surface silver‑white, roiling with thunder. Bolts of lightning twined across it, lighting the world in eerie brilliance.

"This must be the core—and the most condensed convergence of this realm's power," said the Feng Emperor. "The Divine Spirit Liquid must be here!"

Mo Yu nodded, excitement flaring in his eyes.

When an Earth Sovereign fell, his Sovereign Sea would slowly fossilize with time, eventually refining into Divine Spirit Liquid—the final essence of his entire cultivation. For Earth Sovereigns, it was a treasure beyond comparison…and even Mo Yu was moved by the thought of it.

As he considered this, the Feng Emperor suddenly stiffened. "Someone's coming!"

A low hiss of air split the silence. In moments, streaks of light cut across the sky and landed upon the surrounding peaks.

The seven remaining Earth Sovereigns—lords of the Bloodrock Realm's greatest powers—had arrived.

Reunited within the ancient hall, words were unnecessary. All nine once again fixed their gazes on the silver lightning lake.

Suddenly, the lake began to churn. Vast whirlpools formed at its center, glowing brilliantly as golden‑white light surged upward.

Countless radiant orbs of energy burst from the depths of the lake and soared into the air. Mo Yu and the others watched as the orbs blazed like miniature suns, each pulsing with incredible power.

Within those orbs faint silhouettes appeared—artifacts, scrolls, cauldrons, tools of countless kinds—all emanating overwhelming spiritual force.

"These… are spirit treasures," murmured the Feng Emperor, eyes flashing with excitement. "And among them… the Divine Spirit Liquid!"
