Izumi POV.
My control over my shadows was so great that I could modify my shikigami; I could see all of Agito's clones tremble before a shadow katana formed in their hands.
Hundreds of Agito charged towards Chisaki as if trying to replicate the mental image of the Ride of the Valkyries. Chisaki eliminated many of them, but the clones arrived and plunged their swords into Chisaki. They could barely sink their swords into Chisaki's dense body, but that was enough.
Each Agito clone began to generate light lightning around its body before huge lightning bolts fell on each Agito like lightning rods, the lightning bolts sank into Chisaki as they headed towards the other clones forming a huge net that electrocuted Chisaki all over its body with force.
Chisaki roared as she shuddered in pain, but the lightning did not stop. To my surprise, Chisaki's monstrous mouth began to generate the energy ball once again, but this time, her long, muscular tongue wrapped around the energy ball and pulled it into her jaws and ate it.
My eyes widened as Chisaki exploded from the inside out. Everything around her froze and turned to dust in a split second, followed by icicles she launched in all directions.
We all easily dodged or defended against, but I saw several of my clones die instantly. That damn Chisaki! I could see several patches of her skin burned, but she hadn't slowed down in the slightest.
I growled loudly before another bad idea occurred to me, but I just laughed out loud and started bouncing through the air until I found the original Agito. I touched it before all the clones disappeared into shadows, then Agito did the same.
Agito dissolved into shadows, but didn't disappear; instead, it began to change shape. I plunged my hands into the shadows and pushed all my shadows and aura into Agito. The shadow began to grow and grow and grow thanks to Orochi's power.
Finally, she reverted to her winged rabbit centaur form, but this time she was much, much bigger, almost 100 meters tall with a huge sword, and I was on top of her head.
I laughed out loud as I pointed my sword at Chisaki.
"Charge, Agito!!" I yelled maniacally with a smile on my face as Agito flapped her enormous wings and began to fly towards Agito.
Unfortunately, it wasn't fast enough to arrive unnoticed; Chisaki noticed us immediately and began charging her ice beam once again.
"Smash!!" Izuku yelled as he slammed into the side of Chisaki's head, deflecting the attack skyward. Chisaki grunted in annoyance, and I kept Agito moving without stopping. Izuku backed away; Chisaki didn't have time to charge another attack, so she tried to strike with her claws.
"Luna Fall!" Mirko shouted with her own smile, striking Chisaki's arm and pushing her away from Agito. Chisaki tried to get away, but Tanya and Visha appeared above her and shot at her wings. The bullets exploded without harming her, but kept her in place.
Agito finally reached Chisaki, I jumped off her head and down her arm before reaching Agito's sword, pinning Mai in the shadows and quickly pushing all of Agito's power into the tip of her sword, pushing the ability of Piercing Ox and Divine Dog to enhance its penetration.
Agito plunged her enormous sword into Chisaki's chest. The energy at the tip of her blade tore through Chisaki's hardened skin and pierced her completely. The sword lodged in the monster's jaw and emerged above its head.
The enormous protuberance that was the monster's mouth had been completely pierced by Agito's sword up to the hilt, and then Agito enveloped her sword in lightning that began to burn all around the cut.
Chisaki roared in pain and fury, yet it did nothing to stop her; it only made her redder. Chisaki bent her entire body and loomed over Agito, her half-shattered jaws closing around Agito's arms, crushing her hands into a pool of shadow.
Chisaki's claws sank into Agito and began to tear the skin off everything in sight, and that didn't stop her. Her still half-shattered jaw, now free, wrapped around Agito's head in fury and began to tear apart everything in her path.
I clicked my tongue as I jumped and attacked Chisaki to free Agito, but Chisaki was ignoring all the injuries in a frenzy of anger, concentrating all her attack on Agito.
Finally, Chisaki charged an ice sphere in her mouth. She tried to shrink Agito and return her to the shadows, but Chisaki finished first. The sphere exploded before it was fully charged, freezing Agito and my shadows. Then Chisaki enveloped the ice sculpture with her enormous body and completely shattered it.
I clicked my tongue when I felt Agito finally die.
I was about to take Round Deer out of Izuku and reform Agito once again, but I didn't know if that would be better. Izuku was more dangerous to Chisaki if he could use 100% of OFA; taking Round Deer away would limit him greatly.
So I had no choice but to place them on my body. I grabbed the powers of the Shikigami and moved them through my body before stopping momentarily.
The distraction was enough for Chisaki to strike me backward with a reverse leg kick. I simply covered myself with my swords as I was pushed away from Chisaki.
"Mai! Do you want to do something completely stupid?! " I asked Mai with a wild grin.
"Huh? Right now?! Can't it be at another time?! " Mai grumbled incredulously.
"This is the best time to do stupid things!" I yelled wildly as I punched the air to dodge Chisaki's attack.
"Aaahhh !! Damn it!! Just do it!" Mia yelled, I burst out laughing, and put Wado Ichimonji and Enma back inside my shadows once again.
"Mai! Start stretching! " I yelled at Mai frantically, smiled wildly and got into position, gripped Mai's hilt tightly and placed my hand on the bottom of it.
"What should I do?!" Mai yelled, bewildered. I just started laughing, letting all my Haki envelop Mai tightly.
"Just do it!" I yelled to Mai while laughing, I grabbed the powers of my Shikigami, all of them, and pushed them towards Mai, and then, Seventh Form: Drop Ripple Thrust, I launched a powerful thrust towards Chisaki, dozens of meters away from her, in the air.
For a few moments, Mai didn't seem to understand; in fact, it took her a fraction of a second longer to grasp it, so my thrust ended first, and then Mai began to expand. Mai broke the sound barrier, shooting out at great speed as she grew.
The change was almost unbelievably fast; one moment Mai was her normal size, and the next she had grown enough to stretch hundreds of meters while completely cutting through Chisaki from side to side, while I still held the hilt.
The force of the attack had been amplified by the power of Piercing Ox and Divine Dog, its speed by Nue, and its range thanks to Orochi. The overall boost from each Totality upon Mai had also increased Mai's overall power.
Therefore, the sword pierced Chisaki with terrifying ease; in fact, it created a gaping wound where the tip of its blade struck. Unfortunately, Mai's slight delay was enough for Chisaki to move slightly, and the attack struck the side of the Essence Stone. But that didn't matter.
I smiled broadly. It had worked, this shit had worked. As long as my aura, my soul, was resonating with Mai, I could push my Shikigami towards her, and she could use them with ease.
"Enough!" I told Mai through gritted teeth as she reached the kilometer length of her blade. I could feel my Haki rapidly depleting as I tried to keep it on Mai. Luckily, Mai stopped and began to shrink back.
I punched the air and appeared next to Chisaki, dodging her attack to land on her body, I smiled maniacally, Mai had shrunk most of her size, but she was still inside Chisaki.
"Multiply, Mai!" I yelled sadistically. I could feel Mai obeying; she grabbed the power of Rabbit Escape and began to multiply. Hundreds of swords grew from the inside of Chisaki. I could feel dozens of swords emerge from Mai's leaf, then multiply again and more appeared, and from those, even more emerged, until they formed a kind of tree made of swords inside Chisaki.
From the surface of Chisaki, hundreds of swords began to emerge, from the inside out, cutting everything inside. Chisaki roared in pain. I just laughed out loud. I pulled Mai out of her and watched as the blades began to turn into shadows and disappear, but the wounds on Chisaki remained.
Several of the cloned swords had struck the Essence stone, but they were not strong enough to even crack it.
Chisaki roared, and her entire body seemed to explode in blood and ice. Her ice had turned completely red and was exploding with even more violence and power than before. I stepped back far enough, watched Chisaki writhing in anger, and sent a mental message to Mai.
Mai stretched out again for almost 100 meters, but this time it didn't remain completely rigid while extended; in fact, its blade began to undulate and curve. I simply shook Mai skillfully as I circled Chisaki.
Love Breathing - First Form: Shivers of First Love. Mai's undulating form rippled and swirled around Chisaki. With a single slash, Mai circled Chisaki and thrashed about at high speed as her blade cut through multiple areas instantly. I moved Mai again.
Third Form: Catlove Shower. I began to circle Chisaki while Mai slashed her body from all angles simultaneously. Chisaki roared furiously as she tried to break free and shake me off, but I only laughed louder as I dodged her attacks. Another thought, and Mai was enveloped in electricity, far stronger than I was able to imbue her with when I placed the Totality on myself.
Love and Thunder Breathing: Flashes of Love, combine Thunderclap and Flash with the Fifth Form: Swaying Love, Wildclaw, I punched the air hard as I shot out at enormous speed, meanwhile using Mai to release a dozen quick and winding drill-shaped slashes in front of me, lightning enveloped Mai as she concentrated in front of me.
I pierced Chisaki's body from side to side, right through her chest. I had struck from below and emerged in front of Chisaki's torso, making her scream in pain. I could see the huge hole dripping blood from the pain.
Chisaki's mouth, her original mouth, the one that was now just a few meters away from me. She charged a ball of energy before firing an attack like a laser beam; her body writhed in pain, so the laser beam curved and rippled all over the place.
I jumped back, Mai reverted to her normal form while dodging every attack. When Chisaki stopped, I moved far enough away, watched as she was distracted by Izuku and Mirko, grabbed Mai with both hands, lifted her up, pointed her towards the sky, and gave her another order.
Mai grew again, but this time, it didn't just lengthen; its blade also widened and thickened as it grew proportionally. This made the sword much heavier—hundreds of tons. Grit your teeth.
"Mirko! Izuku!" I shouted through gritted teeth, even in mid-air, it was difficult to move Mai forward.
"I've got it!" Mirko shouted with a laugh. Before I knew it, Mirko struck the back of the sword, pushing Mai forward. I took advantage of the momentum and tensed my entire body as I pushed Mai forward.
"Smash!" I heard Izuku shout, before he was the next to strike the back of the sword, the speed I had already acquired, multiplied terrifyingly, Mai was large and long enough to cover Chisaki's entire body.
I spun my entire body around at high speed, and Mai finally sliced Chisaki's monstrous part in half from the front. The monstrous jaw, its torso, and half of its tail were cut in two; its wings were also severed, one on each half, making it impossible to fly as both halves began to fall from the sky, one completely inert and the other thrashing in pain.
Chisaki screamed in pain as her two halves began to fall to the ground while she thrashed about. Chisaki's original body was still completely intact, but it was still fused to one of the parts of her monstrous body.
I could see the Essence Stone just beneath Chisaki, still attached to her monstrous half, still inside the flesh, but it was only a few centimeters thick, so one attack should be enough to shatter it. I prepared to strike before pausing slightly as a thought crossed my mind.
Mai returned to her normal length and I looked at her anxiously.
"Mai! I need you to create a sword! " I yelled to Mai.
"Wait, what?! You know I can't do it! " Mai shouted in surprise.
"You have my aura! Use all you need!" I told Mai with a wild grin. "I need you to create a sword capable of separating monsters from humans!" I yelled maniacally.
"What?! I can't do that!?" Mai screamed in a panic, and I burst out laughing.
"Of course you can!!" I said to Mai frantically. We had a mental link; our auras, our souls, resonated, and we could both communicate telepathically. That's why I transmitted to her when she died, when she created the Soul Split Sword for Maki.
She had had to use her life to create a cursed sword, but it was possible to create swords with effects, swords with special abilities, and that was what she needed. I could sense Mai's shock at seeing the memory, and I quickly relayed the information about the sword I wanted.
Mai simply remained silent before screaming in frustration. I could feel a large portion of my aura being ripped away and burned immediately. And when I say large portion, I mean almost 80% of my aura burned instantly, and the rest continued to be consumed rapidly.
Fuck! What was that enormous amount of drainage?! No wonder Mai couldn't do anything!! The waste was simply terrifying! I could feel my Shikigami's powers being sacrificed as well; I could feel them temporarily shutting down. I couldn't push their power in any way until they recovered in a couple of days. That... was a surprise. I didn't know they could be used like that.
But luckily, my aura and my shikigami weren't sacrificed in vain. Mai began to blink slightly before starting to change shape. My eyes widened; I thought she'd create a new sword, not that she herself would change shape!
Even so, I smiled maniacally when the transformation ended. Mai had gone from resembling a rather generic green katana to transforming into one of the most elegant swords I had ever seen.
The handle was wrapped in a white braided cord, the tsuba, the handguard, was octagonal and very ornamental, traditionally gold-colored with black embellishments, and finally the blade had a truly distinctive pattern.
And I recognized her immediately.
Virgil's Yamato from Devil May Cry. Oh, I could feel it. It wasn't nearly as powerful as the original I knew, but it would definitely do the job. I smiled maniacally as I gripped the sword tightly. It was time to end this.
