Chapter 645 - Chapter 646: Lin Langtian’s Divine Might

Chapter 646: Lin Langtian's Divine Might

"Immortal descending to the mortal world—nothing more than this."

For a brief instant, Lin Langtian lost himself in the blinding beauty of her face. Then, seeing the flush of shame and anger on Ling Qingzhu's cheeks, he smiled.

"What do you think you're doing?!"

Her mask gone, Ling Qingzhu glared at him, voice edged with fury. Even so, with her looks, the anger only added another layer of devastating charm.

"Haha."

Lin Langtian chuckled, then the warmth faded from his eyes, replaced by killing frost.

He slowly turned his head toward the watching Yuan Gate experts in the distance.

"From here on out, leave it to me."

Ling Qingzhu stared at his lean back.

His high‑handed removal of her veil had left her heart in turmoil. She bit down lightly on her lip, forcing the anger from her mind. Whatever else he'd done, he had appeared at the most critical moment, stirring ripples in a heart that had long since been still.

Memories rose unbidden—everything they had gone through together, the times she had given her body to him. Her teeth sank deeper into her lip as confusion tangled her thoughts.

Perhaps their fates truly were bound together, impossible to cut clean.

Emotions churned within her chest. Old scenes flared across her mind. At last, a trace of softness flickered in her clear gaze.

She took a breath. Her quiet voice drifted to his ears.

"Be careful."

The corner of Lin Langtian's mouth curved.

"As expected, a woman who says one thing and feels another…" he thought.

Under the tense stares of the Nine Heavens disciples behind him and the cold gazes of Yuan Gate's forces ahead, he walked forward step by steady step, stopping at the edge of the broken ground.

He lifted his eyes to Lu Feng. They had never met—most of Yuan Gate's high‑level elders rarely left seclusion, and even in the two years he had spent there, Lin Langtian had never seen many of them.

"And who might you be, to interfere in my Yuan Gate's affairs?" Lu Feng asked coldly, eyes narrowing.

"Grand Elder really does stand above it all. You don't even recognize a mere disciple like me anymore." Lin Langtian said mildly, hands clasped behind his back.

Cold light flashed in Lu Feng's eyes. Before he could speak, several elders shot to his side.

"Grand Elder, that's the traitor—Lin Langtian!"

"Oh?"

Lu Feng blinked, then gave Lin Langtian a slow, appraising look.

"So you're Lin Langtian."

"We labored to cultivate you, raised you up as the Eastern Xuan Region's number one genius—and you repaid us with treachery and ingratitude.

"Yuan Gate has been hunting you for some time. To think you'd walk right into our hands today. Good. The old man will kill this traitor himself and make you a warning to the rest!"

"A filthy sect that harbors scum and consorts with fiends should have been erased long ago. For you to speak so righteously is laughable, Grand Elder." Lin Langtian replied with open contempt.

"So, you already know something."

Black light flickered in Lu Feng's pupils. His tone cooled.

"What did you think? That I'd agree to become a puppet like you, dancing on the strings of Otherworldly Demons?"

"Fool. The power of the Demon Seed is beyond your imagination. What does a little sacrifice matter, if it brings true strength?" Lu Feng said with smug pride.

Seeing how far gone he was, his mind eroded by demonic qi, Lin Langtian could only shake his head.

"Those three old dogs—Tian Yuanzi and company—they're still alive, aren't they?"

"You dare!"

An elder exploded with rage and blurred forward.

Yuan Power blasted from his body as he threw a full‑force punch that tore open the air, ripping a gaping trench into the ground as it hurtled toward Lin Langtian.

Lin Langtian didn't so much as glance at him. His eyes never left Lu Feng.

Only when the fist was almost upon him did he raise a hand.

Boom!

The blow that could have pulverized a mountain crashed into his palm.

Everyone braced for a tidal shockwave—only to see Lin Langtian's body remain perfectly still.

Not even his robe fluttered.

Swish.

Before anyone could process what they were seeing, his slender hand blurred and appeared atop the elder's head.

Murder flashed in his dark eyes. Power exploded from his palm.

Bang!

The Yuan Gate elder's body swelled grotesquely. A heartbeat later, he burst into a cloud of blood, soul and flesh annihilated alike.

In only a few breaths, a Reincarnation‑level powerhouse had been erased—cleanly, mercilessly, with a casualness that made Ling Qingzhu's earlier strikes seem almost restrained.

"Th‑this…"

The watching Nine Heavens disciples stared with round eyes, faces pale with shock.

They had assumed Ling Qingzhu's strength came from inheriting the Palace Master's power. But Lin Langtian, who had simply vanished for a while and now returned—how had he become so terrifying?

"Brother Langtian is so strong."

Su Rou's fingers tightened around Ling Qingzhu's arm, her pretty features glowing with excitement.

Ling Qingzhu's gaze darkened as she watched his back.

The youth who had once stood on par with her had pulled far ahead.

"It seems you have improved more than a little." Lu Feng said, voice grim. "But that alone won't be enough."

"Great Yuan Sky Severing!"

Black light surged in his eyes as killing intent poured out of him. Demonic qi crashed like a sea behind his back.

He chopped his hand forward.

The ocean of power rose and condensed into a thousand‑zhang blade that screamed down toward Lin Langtian.

The blade split the air, shattering space in its path.

Lin Langtian's expression did not change. Only as the strike descended did he slowly lift his hand. No Yuan Power rippled from him at all.

He meant to catch it bare‑handed.

Lu Feng blinked, then laughed coldly, glancing once at Ling Qingzhu.

"What an arrogant brat, trying to impress a woman by showing off.

"With that trick, you won't just lose face—you'll lose your life."

His Great Yuan Sky Severing could cripple even ordinary Reincarnation experts. To try and stop it with flesh and bone was suicide.

On the other side, Ling Qingzhu and Su Rou both froze, breath catching.

Ling Qingzhu knew better than anyone what Lu Feng's power meant; she had nearly died by his hand.

Watching Lin Langtian stand there without even raising a proper guard, her heart lurched.

Before she could speak, silence crashed over the world.

Under the titanic blade, the "ant" below flexed his right arm.

Dragon Kun might erupted from his body.

His small frame suddenly felt like a sealed beast in human form, its power shaking even the air itself.

Crack.

The thousand‑zhang blade split like rotten wood, crumbling apart in cascades of shards.

"Brother Langtian… broke it with a flick of his fingers?"

Su Rou clapped a hand over her mouth, eyes wide.

Even Ling Qingzhu drew a long, steadying breath, her gaze fixed on him.

"In just a year, his strength really has changed beyond recognition…" she whispered.

She couldn't shake the feeling that he was becoming someone she could no longer imagine a life without.

"What a monstrous body…"

Across from him, Lu Feng stared, stunned.

Lin Langtian hadn't drawn on any Yuan Power at all—he had shattered the strike with raw physique alone.

Even among the most fearsome beast clans, such a body was rare.

"But what of it? You think that alone is enough to make this old man afraid?"

His face twisted with fury. Evil light burned ever darker in his eyes as he stepped forward.

Demonic qi erupted behind him, coalescing into a colossal demon shadow.

"Heavenly Yuan Demon Fist!"

His growl rumbled through the sky.

Feeding himself into the towering shadow, Lu Feng vanished inside it.

Blood‑red light burned from its eyes as it drew back an enormous fist.

The punch fell like a collapsing world.

Even before it landed, its power warped the air and shook the floating island beneath their feet loose from the sky.

Behind Lin Langtian, disciples gasped in horror as the ground itself splintered and dropped.

He looked up and saw the oncoming fist reflected in his pupils. A hint of disdain touched his mouth.

With the Dragon Kun Physique in his bones, trading blows with Lu Feng was nothing more than exercise.

His right arm extended once more.

Golden dragon scales rippled over his skin as ancient dragon might surged out.

Boom!

His foot slammed into the ground. His body shot upward like a golden comet, hurling himself straight into the path of the fist.

The Nine Heavens disciples held their breath.

Moments ago, they had watched him perform miracles twice.

Now they wanted to see if he could do it again.

Swish!

Two streaks—one black, one gold—collided in mid‑air.

The world shook.

Boom!

A wave of power rippled outwards, twisting the very fabric of space.

All eyes locked on the point of impact; palms clenched so hard sweat poured from them.

Ling Qingzhu's heart hammered in her chest.

Then her pupils shrank.

A spear of gold burst out from the collapsing shockwaves, tearing the giant demon fist to shreds.

The golden light didn't slow. It streaked straight toward the enormous demon shadow.

"Roar!"

Sensing danger, the shadow bellowed and frantically condensed demonic qi into a vast, spinning array of dark light in front of its chest.

It was Lu Feng's strongest defense.

Lin Langtian did not flinch.

His golden arm smashed into the array.

Thud.

Power erupted like a tidal wave.

The barrier held for only a heartbeat. With a sound like ice breaking, cracks raced across its surface.

An instant later, it shattered.

"You—!"

Lu Feng's eyes bulged with disbelief as the shield disintegrated.

His horror had no time to fully form.

Lin Langtian was already there, fist driving forward. A golden dragon scale shot out like a meteor.

It punched straight through the demon shadow's chest.

The shadow howled, demonic qi gushing out like smoke. Its form dissolved into tatters.

Lu Feng's body reappeared in mid‑air.

A gaping hole marred his chest, blood pouring down his robes. His sallow face had gone almost transparent with shock.

"Impossible…"

He stared blankly at his wound.

He had reached the threshold of Samsara. Only the very peak of that realm could reliably defeat him.

Yet before a battle could even truly begin, he had been ruined.

"Brother Langtian won!"

Su Rou's joyous cry rang out across the battlefield.
