In an ancient cave far North...
Lithica's eyes shot open in his sleep, feeling the immense pressure escaping from the Southern Quadrant...
He tripped over himself several times before finally scrambling to the cave's exit, violently flapping his wings in a vicious attempt to reach Seh Jenah before it was too late.
However, before he could take off...
"What are you doing!?" Lithica screamed, tearing his wing free from Volaris's grip.
"It is not yet time..." The ancient god growled, the thunder in the sky behind him-Violently quaking the cliffs below.
"Then when is?! You senses it as well! You had to have sensed it... Is it time once my master has fallen to someone's blade?" Lithica protested as an orb of light formed in the palm of his hand.
"Even though the age of gods has long passed on... You dare test the authority of one... Lowly Celestial..."
Lighting struck across the sky as the pressure rose from the South.
Volaris boomed with laughter.
"Tonight is the night that we see if the champions of this era can meet the expectations they have been given..."
...
Chase shook his shoulders as Luna tried her best to heal his wounds, all the while Poppy wore a frightful look as she watched Rayan and Jack take on the full might of a Paladin...
"I really think we should leave while we can Chase... We won't be able to win this fight..." She said in a low whisper.
"No fight I've fought has been considered winnable..." Chase frowned, summoning Apocalypse into his right hand with a grimace and a wince.
"Chase! This isn't even our fight!" She groaned, only able to follow behind as Chase steeled his nerves and started towards the fight.
"What the hell has gotten into you...?" She whispered, tightening her grip on the Ivory spear and darting behind Chase.
Even though the Child of Blaze was under immense pain from all of his previously assumed injuries; however, his mind was already in overdrive, trying to string together a way to beat someone as powerful as Callahan.
Suddenly, both Chase and Poppy found their movements slowing down.
"Wait!" Poppy yelled, grabbing Chase and pulling him back as a bright star in the sky slowly grew bigger and bigger...
Or...
Closer...
Chase grit his teeth, bracing Apocalypse between them and the battle as the star crashed straight through Rayan and into the ground below.
An eruption of pure might sent a powerful shockwave through the remnants of the Arena, sending up entire waves of debris.
Chase tried to block several at a time, nearly getting crushed had Poppy not pulled him to the ground.
He cursed, pushing himself to stand once more as blood ran like a river from his wounds.
But...
When his eyes rose...
A terrible freezing sensation ran through his bones... Chilling him to a trembling stance.
A helmed figure with an indigo cape and heavy knight armor...
"Worst case-scenario..." Poppy grumbled.
"Where have you been?" Callahan asked, stretching his arms behind his head.
"Our majesty had given me a task... However, it appears you Oh-great Callahan have gotten yourself into quite the problematic issue... Phillip even said that this battle is to end once the first official on either side falls. Just so the public is not caught up in this foolishness..." Veximus ranted on as Rayan struggled from beneath his boot.
Chase grit his teeth and freed himself from Poppy's grip, charging straight at Callahan with the wrathful arc of his axe.
Callahan twitched, stepping to the side as Apocalypse pierced the ground.
He spun the handle, ripping the ground below him up, and launching the axe mid-air at the Paladin.
Callahan ducked, dashing towards Chase with an annoyed expression.
Suddenly metal had begun to fall from the sky once more, nearly killing Chase in one blow as he quickly maneuvered around and resummoned his axe-sliding beneath another falling spear.
"What even is your quarrel with me... Child of The Phoenix...?" Callahan growled, swinging his greatsword at Chase with immense force.
Chase tried to block with Apocalypse, getting sent back several meters from the collision.
That's when he felt it.
Suddenly, both his and Callahan's eyes widened just before Chase had thrown a disc below him, falling into the underworld and escaping near Poppy's side.
Vex-who had been watching the one on one with curiosity, slowly turned his head towards the edge of the crater.
A subtle grin crawled onto his face.
"GET OFF OF ME!" Rayan screamed from below, several corrupted spikes clattering against Vex's thick armor.
"Vile... Like a diseased Rat..." He spat at Rayan, pressing his boot deeper into the man's chest.
However, his vision was fixated on the ever so slow light... A golden light... Static with electricity of some sort... Radiating as it grew bigger and bigger in the distance.
Vex smiled.
"Perhaps someone worth my team is here..."
Chase's jaw dropped as a bolt of golden lightning the size of an entire city struck with so much force that he had lost his footing, soaring back with the shockwave and crashing into the crater's wall.
Poppy caught herself just before hitting the wall, hanging onto her spear propelled into the ground with all of her might.
Chase grinned, watching Equan descend into the crater with another bolt of lightning already charging up as he fell.
Behind him...
A low laugh escaped the lips of a wild beast...
The ground below Vex had begun to quake, barely affecting his balance as he shook off the first lightning bolt.
"A measly distraction."
He grit his teeth, clashing his blade against the bronze gauntlets of Hans.
"The son of Gaia..." Vex's eyes lit up with joy as he pushed his blade down, turning his armored body with a spin and a powerful downward slam at Hans.
The gauntlets crashed together in a clap, pinning Vex's blade between them.
Vex kicked him in the chest, sending the panda skirting back.
As if I wouldn't notice...
Vex grabbed Gideon from behind, throwing him into the ground several meters away.
Hans growled, lowering himself as he charged Vex's legs.
He spun, grabbing Hans by the collar and using the momentum to throw him aside, leaping into the air and firing down at The Panda as if he were comet himself.
BOOM!
The ground tore apart, Hans had narrowly escaped and leaped into the air himself, using his earthly manipulation to pull up a platform of rock to land on.
In which he did, landing with a painful crashing roll.
Vex was there, slashing down at him with what looked like one swing...
Which had truly been many.
Hans braced himself, tanking what felt like nearly fifty unique attacks in the span of one...
Blood dripped from the shattered armor upon his arms...
Vex raised an eyebrow behind his helm.
"Not a single fatal wound?" As if satisfied, he loosened his grip on the blade while Hans could only stand in stun...
"A fitting end..." Vex sighed, stopping for a brief second before hurling a large slash of Indigo energy at Hans'.
Vex turned as a devasting explosion rattled through the ground around him.
His eyes slowly studied the battlefield, looking for his next target and basing them entirely on the strength that he can see inside of them...
Otherwise known as Elemental Energy...
His eyes met a darting female, seconds away from joining the frontline against Callahan himself...
"The Bastard Princess in the flesh..." Vex was about to launch forward when he met a strange friction stopping him from moving.
He turned-his eyes widening as Hans outstretched his bloody hand... Pulling him into a quicksand-like material below.
"Even with those wounds... You can still use it?" Vex smiled, his eyes glancing between his three problems.
Then as if practiced a thousand times... His blade rose into the air, and a single artifact strung around his neck began to glow faintly.
"A shame really." He grinned, a rythmatic humming resounding throughout the crater.
Then as if on timing with the stoppage of the glow of his blade...
BOOM!
Everyone and everything remotely close to Vex had been encased in a brain shattering explosion...
