Nytri and Emma kept touring Azuria with the capital being the final location. Nytri waves her hand across the sky, "And this is the final place where we started, Imperium, the capital." Emma looks across the city with a smile at the harmonious living.
Just as Emma was enjoying the view, Nytri asks a question puzzling her, "What's that?" Nytri points to a grand temple of precious stones on the north of the palace, "How long has this been here?" Emma is baffled, "You didn't know a temple was here the entire time?" Nytri shakes her head, "Let's check it out." Nytri and Emma fly towards the grand temple north of the palace.
Nytri and Emma lands before the grand temple, they gaze at the building admiring its intricate designs. Emma points at an image on the grand door, "This…..Is this you?" Nytri turns to look at the image Emma is pointing, "What?" Nytri is puzzled, "This...it's me." The detail on the image was out of this world. Nytri glances at the next image, "A 10 headed serpent? Or is it a dragon?"
Emma traces her eyes along the gates, "These bizarre images….it shows odd things. Like this one," She points to another image, "That's a huge tree which could be seen from anywhere in the world. But no such trees exist, did you see something like this outside the mortal realm?" Nytri shakes her head, "No, there were big trees but none this big. According to the image, this tree has a face and clouds on top of it."
Nytri sighs, "Who could build something like this without me noticing?" Emma ponders, "Could it be the Xenos?" Nytri shakes her head, "No, they focus on efficiency rather than perfection. They wouldn't put too much effort into a building with no use to me." Emma glances at the temple analyzing it, "I doubt the Azurians did this, it's too early for a budding nation to have a belief system."
Nytri touches the door, "We can only find out who built this after we enter." Nytri opens the door and walks into the temple, Emma tried to enter but she was blocked by a barrier. Emma tries pushing her way in, "Urgh, why can't I enter? Nyi? Nyi I can't enter. NYI? NYTRI! CAN'T YOU HEAR M-" Time froze across the entirety of creation, yet Nytri kept moving forward unaware Emma couldn't enter.
Nytri walks towards the altar, "Odd, why is there a book on the alter?" Nytri reaches the altar stretching her hand to touch it. Nytri's hand is right over the book but just before she could touch it *CLANG CLANG CLANG* She turned to see a man fallen from carrying a lot of the temple instruments.
Nytri quickly rushes to him, "Are you alright?" She observes the instruments, "Why are you the only one carrying all these stuffs." The man looks into Nytri's eyes, "Sorry, it's just been lonely. I'm the only priest here." Nytri offers her hand and the man takes helping him up. Nytri squints her mouth, "Pretty odd to send a single priest to lead a temple. It's like your superiors don't care."
The man chuckles, "They just have too much faith in my abilities." Nytri smiles, "You must be quite capable since none of my kids have caused any trouble." The man starts picking the items up, "Those kids, they're actually cute and fun to be around." Nytri shrugs, "Fun but not as cute as they were younger." Nytri helps the man to pick up the items.
They start walking towards the altar, they arrange the items on the altar. Nytri glances around, "By the way, you never told me your name." The man seems to snap out of a trance, "Oh right right, you can call me Father." Nytri rubs her chin, "Father? An odd name for a person." Father chuckles, "Well, it's what most people call me."
Nytri raises a brow smiling, "huh, my name is Nytri." She stretches her hand for a shake. Father shakes her hand smiling, "Oh I know." This surprises Nytri then Father continues, "The princess of Azuria is famous around here." Nytri smiles, "Yeah." Nytri observes the alter and notices the items are trumpets, cymbals, harps, flutes, drums, lamps, candles, flowers, garlands and palm branches.
"Are you preparing for a party?" Nytri asks Father, "Oh yes yes, a big celebration." Father replied and he continues, "This is for my daughter." Nytri smiles, "Well, she must be lucky." Father smiles looking at Nytri as she stares at the altar, "We're both lucky." Nytri asks, "What's her name?" Father smiles warmly, "Yahgaar, that's the name I gave her." Nytri nods her head, "Nice name." She turns to leave, "I should get going so you can prepare for you daughter. I'll tell her to hurry up and come to you if I do meet her." She smiles warmly.
"Oh wait," Father speaks, "Before you go, have a look at this." He picks the book on the altar and hands it to Nytri. Nytri takes the book feeling its weight, "Heavier than it looks." Father chuckles, "You'll get used to it." Nytri smiles opening the book. She reads through the texts comprehending everything in it as if it was made for her.
Nytri reads it for a long time before finally closing the book, "Wow, this is a bit too much. Is this scripture?" Father smiles shaking his head, "No, this is just a book written by a great person." Nytri nods looking at the covering of the book, "Yeah, whoever wrote this is beyond genius. This is the Book of Time." Father smiles, "Exactly, and every Law has its book."
Nytri squints her mouth, "Just for the record, these things aren't lying around, right?" Father shakes his head, "Ehh~hh, No." Nytri sighs, "I was hoping I could find others like this." Father pats Nytri on her head speaking warmly, "Don't rush my dear, this knowledge was never meant for anyone but you in the first place. I'll make sure to get you the others."
Nytri smiles brightly, "Thanks dad." Then it dawns on her, but the Father before her is gone. Nytri quickly looks around but there's no one in the temple and the Book of Time is gone from her but the altar's arrangements is the same.
Emma quickly rushes into the temple, "NYI!" She reaches Nytri checking if she's hurt, "Are you alright?" Nytri holds Emma's hands, "I'm alright Emma, just happy." Emma is confused, "Happy?" Nytri smiles, "Yeah, I feel like I met someone important to me." Emma tilts her head, "Who? You're the only one here." Nytri waves her hand, "Don't worry about it."
Nytri walks towards the altar and lights the incense, a part of her Mist moves to the altar, turns to fire and vanishes. Nytri smiles, "Let's go Emma, turns out this place has been here for a long time." Emma follows Nytri, "And you didn't know." Nytri smiles wryly, "I don't know everything that happens here. Besides, this is a good place." They exit the temple returning to the palace.
