Alex suddenly paused mid-step. His eyes widened slightly as he turned his head toward the sky.

"Well… I guess it all begins now," he said quietly.

A bright blue beam of light shot upward into the sky in the distance. The air trembled with a deep rumbling sound. A swirling, circular portal began to rip open in the clouds, spinning violently with crackling energy.

Matt turned toward the direction of the sound, his face tightening.

"What… is that?" he asked, voice tense.

People on the street stopped walking. Cars braked. Everyone stared upward as the massive portal grew larger, stretching open like a wound in the sky.

Alex exhaled slowly.

"The Chitauri invasion," he said. "The Battle of New York. It's starting."

Far above, alien ships began passing through the portal—dark shapes emerging like shadows with glowing engines.

Screams erupted from the crowd around them.

Matt gripped his cane tightly.

"You weren't lying."

"To be honest, I hoped I was lying," Alex sighed as he walked past him. "Better suit up, Mr. Daredevil."

Matt's head snapped toward him, surprise clear even behind the glasses.

"How do you—"

"You were going to ask how I know you're Daredevil," Alex cut him off. "Future sight, remember?"

Matt paused, struggling for words, then slowly closed his mouth. He didn't deny it.

Alex smiled a little.

"By the way… do you happen to have a spare mask? I kind of forgot to bring mine. Or even build one yet."

Matt raised an eyebrow.

"You came into a potential war without gear?"

Alex shrugged.

"Well, I didn't expect it to start today. I figured my abilities would be enough to survive."

Alex and Matt hurried back toward Nightwing Restorations Limited.

The streets were already filled with panicked people running in every direction. Alarms blared. The distant roar of alien engines echoed above them.

When they pushed open the door, Colleen and Misty were staring at the sky through the window—faces pale, unsure whether to speak.

Alex gave them a helpless shrug.

"Told you we might get a little invasion today," he said.

Misty blinked hard. "A little…? Alex, there's a giant hole in the sky."

Matt stepped forward, steadying himself with his cane.

"We deal with explanations later. Right now—we go save the city."

Both women nodded instantly, snapping out of their shock.

Matt motioned for Alex to follow him into a back room—one Alex had never been inside before.

Matt placed his hand on a hidden latch behind a shelf, and the shelf clicked open, revealing a narrow space filled with several versions of Daredevil suits hung neatly along the wall.

"All red is mine," Matt said calmly. "You can pick the others."

Alex looked them over—black, grey, white-red, white-black.

He pointed at one.

"Then I'm taking the white-and-black one," he said.

Matt didn't argue.

"Fine. Just put it on fast."

Alex nodded and reached for the suit, already hearing the distant explosions growing louder outside.

A few minutes later, the door to the back room opened again.

Alex stepped out first.

The white-and-black Daredevil suit fit him surprisingly well—sleek, flexible, and reinforced. The mask hugged his face, hiding everything except his mouth and jawline. He flexed his fingers, getting used to the feel.

Matt followed behind him, fully suited in his classic deep red armor, helmet clicking into place as he adjusted it. Cane holstered at his side, he looked every bit the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.

Colleen and Misty stared for a second—then gave small, impressed nods.

They were suited up too.

Colleen wore a pure-white combat suit, light but durable, patterned with silver lines. A long katana rested easily in her hand, gleaming even under dim lights. Her mask was white with narrow eye slits—simple, elegant, and sharp.

Misty wore the opposite—a pure-black tactical suit, reinforced at the joints, with two pistols clipped at her hip holsters and extra magazines on her belt. Her mask was black with a subtle blue visor that covered her eyes.

Alex let out a low whistle.

"Damn… you two actually look like superheroes."

Misty smirked. "Better than going out there in casual clothes, right?"

Colleen sheathed her blade, then unsheathed it again with a clean metallic whisper.

"Alien invasion or not—we're ready."

Outside, another explosion shook the building. Screams echoed through the streets as the Chitauri descended lower.

Matt turned his head toward the sound.

"Time's up," he said. "Let's move."

Alex inhaled slowly, feeling his powers hum beneath his skin.

"Alright then," he whispered. "Let's go save the day."

The four of them pushed open the door and stepped out into the chaos—together.

They ran through the street—broken cars, shattered glass, and panicked civilians everywhere. Chitauri flyers screamed overhead, shooting beams into buildings.

As they moved, Colleen glanced at Alex.

"Before we jump into a war… we should probably know what we can all do."

"Fair," Matt agreed.

Colleen lifted her katana slightly.

"I have swordsmanship and chi manipulation. I can enhance my strikes, harden my body, and move faster."

Misty tapped her black mask and then knocked her metal fist against her palm.

"Enhanced vision from the mask, and the bionic arm. Hits like a truck. Also—guns."

Matt gave a small nod.

"Super hearing. And everything else you've heard about Daredevil."

They all looked at Alex next.

Alex shrugged.

"Light and darkness manipulation."

All three stopped mid-run for a moment and stared.

Misty raised a brow.

"We thought your whole thing was future sight or something."

Alex waved a hand.

"That's just flashes I get sometimes. Not reliable. My real power is light and darkness manipulation.

Light heals. Darkness… corrodes."

Misty's eyes widened behind her visor.

"So you were gonna use the light side to heal me earlier, right?"

"Yeah," Alex admitted. "But right now I can only heal minor injuries. Maybe, when I grow stronger… I can regrow your whole arm."

Misty nodded and said " then grow strong faster"

Colleen snorted.

"Focus. We're almost there."

They reached the end of the street—and froze.

Chitauri soldiers were already crawling over crashed cars. Flyers circled above. Civilians screamed and ran past them as laser bolts cut through the air.

Matt exhaled.

"This is bad."

Alex took one step forward. His eyes glowed—one faint White, the other faint black.

"Then lets make it good" He said as he raised his arm and many dark swords appeared around him as they then flew and pierced the Chitauri.
