Chapter 34 - Capturers

Valhya

Valhya sucked in air, trying to summon the energy. Just jesting, she already had the energy.

The maidens watched with wide mouths as Valyha took out all the pins in her hair letting the stretched curls fall down her shoulders

As the door raised open, Valyha stepped out, walking forward. Instantly, bright lights began flashing at her.

Her dress was a lot simpler than the others. It was thin strap pink tight gown that hugged her figure. The dress reflected shimmering light. Her bronzed skin glittered as she stormed with confidence, paying no attention to the onlookers.

The journalist's eyes grew with curiosity. It seemed as if the god of beauty had spent a hundred years taking their time sculpting at this one.

Valhya lightly brushed her hair back with her pink painted nails, letting the long strands flutter at her back as her two gold bangles dinged

The Journalist captured that scene immensely. It was as if she had blessed their magi-lenses. Truly the Emperor's Harem had the greatest beauties.

The beauty left as fast she came. Her guards surrounded her, covering her completely until she was inside, for safety.

Hiriah walked besides Valyha. She couldn't believe what just happened. "They liked you, your Highness! More than the other... queens?" Hiriah was surprised. She had seen the reaction for queen Evere and Roriana. It could not be compared to their queen's. it was… surprising.

Valhya scoffed. "I am far too experienced with people to be caught short. I guess Earthman or Qira, as long as they have a brain they're all the same."

"Keep that charisma, for the Aisle. The nobles are watching." Hiriah cheered a bit too excited for her own good. She actually has a shot here to serve a high ranking queen.

"Please. Small fry." Valyha said in an arrogant tone as she strutted forward.

Ahead on the Aisle was Roriana. Rori's eyes scanned the scene before her. Trying to forget the fact that she was walking before the elitists of her Empire. She showed confidence but that was far from what she felt inside.

They seemed somewhat impressed. By her?

Was it the butterflies?

She tried her best to focus but theirs stares was piercing through her. She didn't know whether or not she was convincing enough to be a queen.

It was only when she noticed the switching gaze of the nobles to look behind her, was she able to breathe. they were distracted, but she didn't bother to look back.

She loved the peace of being invincible again.

Then suddenly, she saw a stunning creature from afar that nearly seizes her breath the moment she saw her—a golden blonde petite girl, with deep sapphire eyes with the cutest plump lips she had ever seen. The white dress, only a few shade paler than her skin, the dress she wore was exquisite, a white veil decorated her large curly locks. The woman at the blonde woman's side was just as breathtaking, however her beauty was starkly opposite to the other. This woman was more sexy than cute, with sharp thick black eyelashes, ruby red hair that framed her big bust. The red haired woman ruby lips was spread into a confident smile as her dark purple eyes studied the crowd playfully.

So these were the caliber of women that got past the selection.

The Great Emperor had very, very, high standards

"Are those the other..."

"Yes," Ivert answered in a whisper already sensing what she was about to say.

"I think I better go back." Rori felt greatly intimidated. These women were goddess. One was a divine angel, and the other, a sultry seductress.

Ivert whispered discreetly. "Don't let them see your weakness."

Rori looked at her hands already wet from sweat. She thought she was pale before, compared to these women she was far from fair. Their hair had a different shine, their features was extraordinary.

"Are they even real." She narrows her eyes looking at the Red Haired's breasts. They're huge. A whole other level of beauty "Which one is queen Evere?"

"The blonde one. The other woman in black, is called queen Aijah."

"They are Qiras right."

"Yes. Similar to the Emperor."

"If these women are Qira, then what am i?"At this point Rori understood that she really didn't belong here.

Ivert giggled. "Now you understand the competition in the Emperor's Harem,"

"What competition? I am no competition," Rori sigh. Compared to the other girls, she was merely plain Jane.

"Do not underestimate the power of confidence. You're almost there, your highness."

"I see only two, aren't we supposed to be five?"

"Perhaps the other two haven't come on time. But that is odd, Lady Salvyiti is said to be a minute ahead of the rising sun."

Rori raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"It means she is never late."

"What about the last one. I didn't really see the king select the last named wife."

Ivert smile "If you haven't heard of her. It means she doesn't matter."

"But—"

"You stress too much. Hurry otherwise you'll take the far last seat."

"Alright," Rori breathed in to contain her anxiety before going ahead to join the other woman.

As she walked further she noticed the eyes of everyone in the hall on her again. Her heart began to race. Were they looking at her or behind—suddenly, a push on her shoulder shoved her away in one swift action.

"Get out of my way," An elegant voice said, echoing cruelly.

There was a sharp silence throughout the hall.
