Chase cracked his neck. He looked at Mystogan, who was embedded in the giant crystal ball. He smiled and defiantly held out his hand. "Then try to beat me!"
As always, he preferred to communicate with his fists. It was the most direct way. And it never failed.
After all, convincing someone with physical force was still a form of reason.

But one punch was not enough to convince Mystogan. He roared and broke free from the crystal ball. He charged at Chase, his bandaged right fist clenched.
Chase did not move. He took the punch to the face.
It was not arrogance. His first punch had been a cheap shot. So he let Mystogan have one for free.

The force pushed Chase back. His feet left grooves in the floor.

Chase wiped the blood from his lip. "I thought you only knew how to put people to sleep."

The staves glowed. Magic circles appeared above Chase. They merged into a beam of light.

The explosion swallowed Chase.
"Great! The prince won!" Lily cheered.
He knew Chase was from Earthland. He was Mystogan's friend. But he still wanted Mystogan to win.
Mystogan's face was still serious.
"Beat me? Sore wa dou kana. "
The smoke cleared. Chase was unharmed.
Three staves floated around him. They were different from Mystogan's. They had gems. They looked expensive.
"Stupid master. You are getting too good at stealing," Dark Magician Girl said.
Chase had used her staff. And her master's. And Dark Magician of Chaos's.
"You are not the only one who can fight with multiple staves."
Chase took the pink staff. He spun it. He made a peace sign.
Dark Magician Girl was in tears.
My staff is dirty!

Even Mystogan was uncomfortable.
"Now! Super Magic Wave Cannon! "
Chase fired.
Mystogan dodged. But Chase was faster. He was already there.
Black lightning. A purple staff. A sphere of dark energy.
Dark Magic.
Mystogan blocked. But the barrier cracked.
He was thrown back. He hit a statue of the king. The head exploded.
Mystogan jumped. He fired back. Dark hands appeared from the ground. They grabbed at Chase.
Chase dodged. He landed. He raised the last staff.
"In the air, you cannot dodge."
"Destruction Incantation: Death Ultimate Curse! "
A black sphere flew at Mystogan.
Mystogan was ready. "Threefold Magic Array: Mirror Water! "
The sphere hit the barrier. It was reflected. It flew back at Chase.
"Reflecting magic? Strong. Too strong."
Chase stepped on a magic circle. "I activate my Trap Card. Magic Cylinder! "
The sphere turned around.
"What?!"
Mystogan's eyes went wide.
BOOM!
