A massive explosion shook the control room. The shockwave tore through walls and buildings. It shot out of the castle and into the sky, leaving trails of black lightning.
When the noise faded, Lily looked around. His eyes went wide.
The castle was in ruins. A straight path of destruction stretched for hundreds of meters. He could see the city outside.
"The prince! Where is the prince?!" Lily was scared. He looked for Mystogan.
"Do not worry. He is an S-Class mage of Fairy Tail. A little greeting like that will not hurt him."
Chase flicked his finger. The pink staff flew back to Dark Magician Girl.
The other staves turned into light and faded.
"Greeting?" Lily could not believe it.
If that blast had hit the city, it would have been destroyed.
He thought of the monsters who had attacked the capital. The woman who looked like Erza Knightwalker. The wanted man, Gildarts.
Now, he understood.
What kind of organization is the prince's guild?
Mist appeared in the ruined corridor. It formed a human shape.
Mystogan walked out, his five staves on his back.
"You are hard to kill," Chase said.
"That blast would hurt anyone," Mystogan said.
Their eyes met.
"Let us fight, Mystogan!" Chase's dark gold magic exploded.
"If it stops you from doing unnecessary things," Mystogan said. He raised his staff.
He did not want to fight. But there was no other choice.
Lily reached for his sword, Destroyer Mother.
He wanted to help. The future of Edolas was at stake.
"I would not do that. You might die."
Gajeel walked in, chewing on a piece of metal. "My cat is brave. But Chase is a monster."
"I am not your cat!" Lily shouted.
"Aye~ Gajeel once said Chase was worth beating. You are alike," Happy said.
Gajeel's face turned red. "Shut up!"
"Want to fight?!" Natsu shouted.
Then he saw Chase. "Chase! Fight me!"
"You are hurt. And even if you were not, Chase would beat you," Wendy said.
Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy were wearing dark capes. They had wanted to pretend to be villains.
The magic from the fight had drawn them here.
Lucy and the others came too. Erza. Gildarts. Gray. And the Edolas guild.
"Everyone is here!" Chase laughed.
Mystogan looked nervous.
"Wendy. What happened?" Erza asked.
"I do not know," Wendy said.
"Sorry," she added.
"Do not apologize!" Carla said.
"Simple. Mystogan wants to die for this world. Chase said no. They are fighting," Dark Magician Girl said.
"What?!" they all shouted.
They looked at Mystogan with angry eyes.
He is an idiot!
"I am sorry," Mystogan said.
He looked at Chase. He had to win. He had to reverse Anima.
If Edolas had no magic, maybe everyone would go back to Earthland.
"Skyscraper! "
A purple light swallowed Chase. A dark illusion.
Chase broke free.
"True Fivefold Magic Array!"
Five magic circles appeared above Chase.
"Let me show you my power, Mystogan!"
Chase slapped the ground. A dark gold magic circle expanded.
"It feels familiar..." Lucy said.
Their attacks collided.
BOOM!
When the smoke cleared, they were gone. Only a broken staff remained.
