Kikaru noticed him rolling his wrist.
"You look like the course kept a few pieces of you for study."
"It can have my complaints, but I need the rest back before dinner."
She glanced at him then, interest breaking through training focus.
"How long did the full run take?"
"Twenty eight minutes and twelve seconds, one recorded death, and an ongoing dispute with rope technology."
Kikaru's eyebrows lifted.
That was enough to make Paul stop watching the spar and turn around.
"Did he say twenty eight on his first full run, or am I suffering from cafeteria vegetables?"
Kikaru ignored him.
"That is good for a first attempt. I broke fifteen minutes only after multiple attempts, and my first run was worse than I admitted at the time."
