Mia had barely stepped through the front door when a figure suddenly appeared in front of her.
"Finally!"
"Rose?!"
Rose grabbed Mia by the arm.
"Come with me!"
"Wait, what?"
"To your room!"
"But…"
Too late.
Rose pulled her up the stairs before gently ushering her into the bedroom.
She closed the door behind them and immediately turned to Mia with a huge smile.
"Well?"
Mia blinked.
"Well, what?"
"Who's that guy who brought you home?"
Mia was left speechless.
"What?"
"Don't play innocent. I saw you get out of his car."
"Rose…"
"You've never told me about him!"
Mia laughed nervously.
"Our meeting is… complicated to explain."
Rose crossed her arms.
"Never mind that. Where did you two go?"
Mia's eyes lit up despite herself.
"He took me to a lake."
Rose's eyes widened.
"A lake?"
"Yes."
"And?"
"We had a picnic by the lake under the moonlight."
Rose covered her face with both hands.
"Wow! That's so romantic!"
"Oh, calm down! It was just between friends."
Rose stared at her with an amused smile.
"'Just between friends.'"
"Yes."
"A dinner under the moonlight, candles, a lake… You have a very unusual definition of friendship."
Mia blushed.
"He just wanted to help me unwind after what happened."
Rose's smile softened.
"Speaking of what happened… what exactly happened?"
