The whole island was covered in ice, there was no sign of life on the island other than the seven Ancient Great Spirits. Hywan used his power to maintain the balance between heat and cold, and he was the only one that still stood tall against Rullein. The other were struggling from both the cold and Rullein's attacks that could easily destroy the island. If it wasn't for Khai's power that strengthened the plates underneath the island, the island would have been destroyed a long time ago.
Each of them played a huge role in fighting Rullein, especially Ashu with his unbelievably sturdy turtle shell that tanked most of Rullein's attacks. He was the only one who could take the hit directly, but he knew if it wasn't for Simu's healing ability that he kept recovering the damage on his shell. Simu was the one who had been keeping everyone alive with her miraculous healing power, but unfortunately she had used all of her power that she was no longer useful.
