Chapter 63 - Chapter 63

Chapter 63: You'll Die

Sakura and Naruto also looked at Yoruha. They were very curious about the Uchiha Clan too.

They had always heard that the Uchiha Clan was extremely prominent in Konohagakure, and Sasuke, as the survivor of the Uchiha Clan, was also very popular there.

At the very least, Naruto often heard people bring up the Uchiha Clan whenever they mentioned Sasuke.

From the way those people talked, the Uchiha Clan seemed to be an incredibly formidable family.

Yoruha was a little speechless. Looking at Sasuke, he said, "You're from the Uchiha Clan and even you don't know, so how would I know?"

But Sasuke wasn't going to let him off that easily. "You even know about the Uzumaki Clan. Before this, I'd never even heard of the Uzumaki Clan."

"I don't believe you don't know about the Uchiha Clan."

Sakura and Naruto both nodded. "Sasuke's right. If you even know about the Uzumaki Clan, how could you not know about the Uchiha Clan?"

"What I know is basically the same as what you know. I might even know less than you do."

Yoruha said it plainly.

Sasuke was still unwilling to give up. "Then do you know just how powerful the Sharingan really is? If I keep developing my Sharingan, what level can I eventually reach?"

That was what Sasuke most wanted to ask.

If it were anyone else, he naturally wouldn't have asked so directly. But he had already acknowledged Yoruha's strength.

He didn't feel embarrassed asking him.

Naruto and Sakura were also paying close attention.

Naruto especially—after learning about his own tremendous future potential, he had already imagined that when he became stronger than Sasuke, he would definitely defeat him with his own hands, show Sakura how amazing he was, and make Sakura like him.

He had always thought Sakura liked Sasuke because Sasuke was stronger than him.

Yoruha waved a hand. "That, I really don't know. But since the ninja world is so wary of the Sharingan, it must be very powerful."

"And back then, the Uchiha Clan held real power in Konohagakure and had enormous prestige there. With that kind of strength and status, the Sharingan has to be extremely powerful."

But Sasuke wasn't satisfied with that answer.

"But exactly how strong is it?"

Yoruha gave a bitter smile. "I really don't know. The strongest Sharingan I've ever seen is Kakashi-sensei's Sharingan."

That was the truth.

Since coming to this world, the only Sharingan Yoruha had ever seen all these years was Kakashi's.

He hadn't even seen Sasuke's Sharingan.

Although Sasuke was unhappy with Yoruha's answer, he figured that if he kept pressing, Yoruha probably still wouldn't answer.

He had no idea whether Yoruha truly didn't know, or whether there was some secret he didn't want Sasuke to know.

After the group returned to Tazuna's house, Yoruha looked at Kakashi, who was already seated at the dining table, and his forehead filled with black lines.

"Kakashi-sensei, you really are a fine teacher."

The moment he saw Kakashi, Yoruha spoke in a deeply sarcastic tone.

Kakashi naturally knew what Yoruha meant—he was complaining that Kakashi had ditched him and left him alone to deal with Sasuke and the others' questions.

Fortunately, Kakashi had his mask on, so no one could see his expression.

He simply greeted the four of them as if nothing had happened. "Yo, you're back. Come eat. Miss Tsunami prepared a hearty dinner just for you."

Standing beside Kakashi, Tsunami said awkwardly, "It's only a simple meal. I hope you'll forgive any lack of hospitality."

Though he was very dissatisfied with Kakashi's behavior, Yoruha still exchanged a few polite words with Tsunami.

When Tazuna saw Yoruha, he smiled and said, "Young Yoruha really works hard, huh? Training this late."

After the previous battle, in Tazuna's heart, only Kakashi and Yoruha seemed reliable.

He felt that as long as Kakashi and Yoruha were there, even if Zabuza showed up again, he wouldn't be able to assassinate him.

As for Sasuke and the other three, he thought they were complete rookies who couldn't even protect themselves, let alone anyone else.

So he was especially warm toward Yoruha.

After Yoruha and the others sat down, Inari, who had been hiding behind Tsunami, poked his head out and looked at the four of them.

His eyes were full of ridicule.

"A bunch of idiots. You'll definitely end up just like that person."

Yoruha naturally heard him, but he didn't want to say anything, nor did he want to think about who that "person" Inari mentioned was.

Although Yoruha still remembered some things about this mission, he had long since forgotten the specific details.

Naturally, he didn't know why Inari would say something like that.

Kakashi heard it too, and his expression turned thoughtful.

He wasn't angry, of course. He was just wondering why Inari would say such a thing, and who that person was.

Kakashi glanced at Yoruha.

Seeing him calmly eating as though he hadn't heard Inari's words at all, Kakashi thought to himself, This brat really is composed. But he's definitely already wondering who that person is.

Still, after that one glance, Kakashi made no move and continued eating as though nothing was wrong.

But while Yoruha and Kakashi said nothing, Naruto had heard it.

Even though Inari had spoken very quietly, Naruto still caught it.

Naruto was instantly unhappy. He stood up on his chair, raised his fist, and glared at Inari. "Who are you calling idiots? Say it clearly."

Sasuke and Sakura said nothing, but neither of them looked pleased.

After all, they had agreed to continue this mission out of goodwill, and now Inari was insulting them.

Sakura might not have shown much on the surface, but inside she was already exploding.

Naruto's words also provoked Inari.

He was no longer even afraid. He jumped out from behind his mother and shouted at Naruto, "I'm talking about you! Do you even know who your enemies are? Those people are ninja who can kill groups of people without any effort."

"And you think just the few of you can defeat them? That's just stupid."

"If you're not idiots, then what are you?"

"Especially you, you blond idiot."

Tsunami froze for a moment, then realized things were bad and quickly grabbed Inari.

"Inari, that's far too rude. Apologize to these ninja at once."

Tears in his eyes, Inari stubbornly said, "I'm not apologizing. I'm telling the truth. How could these people possibly defeat those ninja? They're just adding a few more dead souls to the blade."

"Idiots, a bunch of idiots, wuaaah…"

The more he spoke, the more emotional he became, and in the end he ran outside.

The atmosphere instantly became very awkward.

Naruto rolled up his sleeves and angrily moved to chase after him.

"That brat's a jerk! How can he say something like that? I'm going to make him explain himself."

With that, Naruto ran out after him.

Tsunami and Tazuna quickly apologized to Kakashi and the others. "We're sorry, Mr. Kakashi. Inari didn't mean to say those things."

"Please forgive his rude behavior. We apologize to all of you in his place."

Seeing that Tazuna and Tsunami were about to kneel, Kakashi hurriedly helped them up.

"There's no need for that. Children speak without thinking. We're not so petty that we'd hold it against a child."

"Though it does seem there's more to this story."
