A bit later, coming from the east side of the High Pantheon of Deities, the god of vehicles, Araç, entered while wiping the myrrh of sweat from his temple. "Ah, Araç," Thea greeted with a tray of iced drinks. "How's your day?"
Araç's appearance consisted of a bus driver's uniform in white and dark blue, complete with a bus driver's cap, a darker blue necktie, and a logo of a bus on the front of his attire. This represented his divinity as the god of vehicles. He bestowed the Driving Skill (AAA-ranked skill) on anyone who asked for it, though those who weren't kids could acquire it through training and practice. As for Araç's history before becoming Araç, he was a Turkish Otherworlder bus driver named Aagha Işıka from 500 years ago. He introduced vehicles to Pantano and other countries in the world and taught the professional art of being a driver and operator. When he died of old age, he was elevated to godhood and became Araç.
"It's fine, 5 more kids in eastern Pantano asked for my skill," Araç responded, before settling on a sofa and taking a drink from Thea. "I bestowed starter vehicles for them: 2 buses, 1 basic sedan, and 2 basic trucks as a start for them."
"Nice." Haiteku chuckled. "I can tell that the helicopter pilots of Pantano and Ruslav did a good job of shooting the Vatrenian forces on their border in the Brot-Lyon region."
"Nice." Araç laughed. "I heard Prince Ariel was in a hospital ward in one of the Vatrenian posts after they were defeated."
Meanwhile, back in Nuevo Tacloban, Ruslav, at night, in the castle's dining hall, Basilio and his siblings and subordinates were eating dinner. Ormoc and Paulina really liked the food that Basilio's cooks had made. The food consisted of meaty dishes like lechon, roasted mutton with a few cheap spices and roasted game with potatoes and pieces of French bread stuffed into it, as well as vegetables, fruits, and a few desserts. Basilio had utilized Sekai Stream's cooking videos to introduce a few novel dishes to Vamzoms, and some of them really liked it as something new rather than the fantasy foods they had been accustomed to.
"Wow, the food was really tasty," Ormoc commented while munching on mutton and some slices of cheap brioche bread.
"Thanks for the food, guys," Paulina humbly added.
"Yes, we appreciated your good feedback," Helena responded with politeness and manner.
"Basilio-san really introduced some new recipes to us," Maxim added positively.
"I'll say this to you, Basilio," Ormoc said to Basilio while glancing at him, "but you're very clever at stuff."
"Yup!" Basilio smiled at him back. "For the most part."
After dinner, Basilio took his older siblings to his bedroom in the castle, which was the bedroom of his predecessors. It was big with marble flooring, a king-sized bed made of cypress wood, and a handful of other, near-expensive furniture like wardrobes and dressers. There Ormoc and Paulina were astonished and stoked by how elegant and opulent it was.
"No way…"
"This is your predecessors' bedroom, right?"
"Yes," responded Basilio while putting away his backpack, which was used to carry his everyday essentials everywhere, even to his office. "This room was their room as leaders come and go."
Ormoc and Paulina then started going around while gazing at the room's possessions. But one item caught their attention, and it was a 3-fold mattress with a colorful cover that covered it. Seeing that, both siblings were stunned to see such a familiar-looking item from their world.
"Is that a foam? (For it was commonly called in the Philippines.)?"
"How did you get that?"
"Oh, that?" Basilio replied back while looking at it, "Yes, I got it from the Isekai System Shop a few days ago. I had that because I really missed laying down on one."
"Oh…" Ormoc replied.
"Wow, you really missed that, aren't you?" Paulina added.
"Yes," replied Basilio with a positive face.
After that, as Ormoc and Paulina unloaded their stuff next to Basilio's bed, Basilio pulled out his laptop, computer mouse, personal journal, and one of his pens to do some small personal work, which was less than his administrative work. Seeing that his laptop and computer mouse were brought into this world, Ormoc and Paulina were stunned, again.
"Is that your laptop?"
"Even that thing was brought to this world?"
"Yeah," Basilio responded while checking his notebook app on his laptop, "that thing was with me on the day I died to that landslide."
Now, Ormoc and Paulina remembered that it happened a few hours before Basilio's death on that day a long time ago.
"Oh, yeah right…"
"That makes sense…"
As Basilio was doing his little night work, Ormoc and Paulina lay down on the comfy mattress while feeling in comfort and relief after half a day of intensive battle with Vatrene. Basilio was relaxing while working after a lot of intensive work in combat, which really paid off well with their victory with Pantano and Vatrene.
Meanwhile, in one of their major army bases in Vatrene, the atmosphere was poisonous. Ariel woke up with a couple of injuries from Basilio and Ormoc's attack on him this near noon, and upon finding out that they had lost the battle, he was infuriated by it because he had expected to win, yet results were really disappointing for him. "WHY? WHY?!"
"Uh, sir, Pantano and Ruslav were stronger together, sir…" one of his advisors, a general named Tatsuki Parisi, replied frantically while trying to calm his nerves down.
Ariel then knocked over a ceramic cup containing a serving of medicinal tea, shattering it on the floor, and the medicinal tea spilled on it in anger. "FUCK THESE USELESS TROOPS!!!"
Tatsuki was scared of his leader and boss, knowing his bad temper very well for a long time.
Meanwhile, back in Nuevo Tacloban, at 9:44 p.m., Basilio and his older siblings are preparing for bed. Ormoc and Paulina burrowed some clothes from Basilio's wardrobe for tonight's slumber and settled down on Basilio's comfy mattress with some soft pillows. "Wait," Basilio said to them, "we used to sleep together in one foam in the past, right?"
"Yeah," replied Ormoc as he sat down next to Paulina and looked at him, "but we decided to give some space for you in your own bed."
"Oh…okay then, sure, thanks."
