Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 – That Party was Angry at Basilio and Chivo

Third person POV

The next morning at 5:20 a.m., while Ormoc and Paulina are still asleep, Basilio woke up after his phone alarm rang and went to his morning routine which consisted of journaling, taking a morning walk around the castle's grounds, and singing earth songs using his phone and training his abilities and skills until typically, but not strictly, 7 a.m. Now, in the gardens of the castle, Basilio was staring at the blue, lightening sky and the 3 moons (Yes, in this world, there are 3 moons) showing their small, visible angles against the sun in the sky.

And then, Araç appeared from the heavens. His youthful appearance gave a luminous look, and his aura was slightly shining white. "Greetings, Basilio-kun," he said to the Partial Vamzom, Filipino Otherworlder boy. "Good morning. Weather is nice this dawn, isn't it?"

Basilio's eyes widened a few moments when he met his gaze.

[Last night…]

He had seen Araç's appearance in the mythology books of this world, and his dark blue and dark grey eyes were unmistakable. He had seen his background of his life in this world five centuries ago. To identify gods like Araç, a godlike aura was the primary indicator.

[Flashback ended…]

 "Are you…?" Basilio's breath hitched.

"Yes, it is me, mortal." Araç gestured to himself with the grace of a driver or a butler. "I, Araç, was talking to you now."

Basilio was stunned, seeing the presence of the god of vehicles in this garden. He then approached his vicinity with caution. "Y-Yes, good morning, Araç-sama. It's my pleasure to see your presence in person."

"Yes." Araç chuckled while readjusting his bus driver's cap. "I see how you defeated Vatrenian First Prince Ariel back in the Brot-Lyon border of Pantano. Quite clever…"

"Y-Yes, of course…" Basilio managed to say while calming down.

7:01 a.m. came, and they are eating breakfast in the dining hall with Ormoc, Paulina, and most of Basilio's Vamzom subordinates. Araç practically invited himself in for the food, much to the surprise of those who were inside the dining hall. Timru and Aldert did their gesture of respect and reverence to the god of vehicles, which Araç said that it was fine, and he was in this place for a quick meal.

"Please don't prostrate that much!" Araç laughed. "I'm just a bit hungry here."

After that, everything settled down as the sun rays hit the room through the open ornate-style windows.

"So," Basilio said to Ormoc and Paulina while eating his meal, "did you two sleep well last night?"

"Yeah, it was nice," responded Ormoc positively.

"Thanks for letting us stay at this place," Paulina added brightly.

 "Yup!"

"Yes, Basilio is very hospitable to anyone," added Timru, "and had your country's way of hospitality."

"Yup," Ormoc replied with a nod, "we as Filipinos tended to be hospitable to anyone regardless of where they came from."

One Vamzom servant presented a metallic jug full of pig's blood to Basilio. "Want some blood for your coffee, sir?"

"Yes, just a few drops, please," Basilio said to him.

The Vamzom servant did so carefully, and Basilio used his spoon to mix the blood into his morning cup of coffee.

Ormoc and Paulina were stunned that Basilio could even drink blood mixed into his beverages.

 "Woah…"

 "I see then…"

"It seemed that Basilio-kun had adapted well in this world," Araç commented with a light chuckle while grabbing a piece of toasted bread with Pantanoi-made blueberry spread.

At this point, Basilio knew about Haiteku, Mérnöki, and Träger, finding that the typical fantasy tropes of this world were thrown out the window and accepting the new nuances of this world.

"This world is strange but cool at the same time…" his thoughts formalized in his mind.

Meanwhile, in Pantano's capital city of Cinjutun, King Josiah II read the reports of yesterday's battles on their Brot-Lyon border with Vatrene, as well as the contributions by Ruslav and the Vamzoms and non-Vamzoms under Basilio's leadership. The office was quiet and smelled of scented candles, ink, and old cotton-and-wood-pulp paper. He saw how much their contribution meant to him and his kingdom. After that, he focused on the trade status with the shogunate of Falleta on the east side of the country, which shared its southern border with the Sheria Bay.

Back in Nuevo Tacloban, after breakfast and preparing for the day, Ormoc and Paulina were off to their mission in Pantano's northeastern region in a helicopter with a Vamzom squad as escorts for them. Basilio was now in his office doing his usual daily work. Chivo, meanwhile, was in his family home in Fresa de Ard handling some responsibilities while off-duty as a soldier for Ruslav. Araç went back to the High Pantheon of Deities.

But, somewhere in Sárga Madár, Dimwell Dukedom, Pantano, in a tavern, Lenz was pissed off while chugging a glass of light, cheap beer. Why? Because…

"Argh!" Lenz ranted out. "That Otherworlder ticked us off! He ruined everything! And Chivo was his accomplice!"

"Can't believe someone like him would ever defy us…" Anthonia said while holding her spoon, "…that kid was dumb and thinks that he knows better than we do."

"I hate that kid!" Angela ranted out. "If I see him, I'll burn him to a crisp! Argh!"

 "Yeah…" Lenz sheepishly replied.

They, the Wolken Party, had been ignored by everyone thanks to Basilio blowing the whistle of their misdeeds and wanted to seek vengeance against him and Chivo as payback.

And then, there is someone in that tavern, dressed in a familiar hoodie and a black, Japanese gakuran uniform for boys, who was holding a lead pipe, listening to their conversation and was displeased by it. "Bunch of knuckleheads…blaming someone for their own stupid actions? How low-key!"

He then finished eating his light meal and chugged his glass of light beer and another glass of water, before leaving his payment on the table and leaving the tavern with his backpack and lead pipe weapon.
