Theo had made nineteen plans by the next morning.
He removed four because they depended too much on the terrain, three because Saevra would not have a clear firing path and one because Varelya would probably stab him if he suggested using her as bait again.
Eleven sheets were spread across his dorm room table when the others arrived. Osric stopped at the door and looked at them.
"I knew it."
"What did you know?"
Varelya picked up three sheets one after another. One was for capturing a beast in a forest, another was for protecting a moving objective and the last was for an open field.
"You learned nothing."
"That's harsh."
Saevra pointed behind one of the circles Theo had drawn. "Where do I stand if the enemy comes from here?"
Theo moved her circle, then Rhevard's, and his hand was already going toward Varelya's when he noticed all four of them looking at him.
"Fine," Theo said. "The plans are bad."
"Some of the drawings are nice," Osric offered.
