Chapter 375 - Where Are the Guns and Lasers?!

Some still refused to believe it.

Jiang Shengjun, skeptical, entered the query again into the interface.

As expected, no surprises.

The result on the light curtain remained unchanged.

"Query failed. The weapon does not exist in the database."

"Wait a second…"

Jiang Shengjun's eyes narrowed as something caught his attention.

Among the flood of information that had just flashed across the screen, he realized something strange.

There were only spirit weapons listed.

Not a single sci-fi blaster, laser rifle, or magic-tech cannon!

Frowning, he scrolled again—carefully this time.

It was exactly as he feared.

Only spiritual weapons were available for purchase.

No high-tech gear. No futuristic plasma swords. Nothing remotely modern.

After confirming this, Jiang Shengjun felt like the universe had just played a joke on him.

What about all the weapons from the Tower of Trials?

You know, the good stuff?

He exited the weapon sales space, the disappointment practically dripping off of him.

He needed answers.

Preferably from the man responsible.

When Bu Shiyi noticed Jiang Shengjun storming out so soon, her brow furrowed in surprise. "You're done already?"

She was still experimenting with her sword, testing its mechanics with obsessive precision.

But Jiang Shengjun… he looked like he'd just been robbed.

Not a hint of joy on his face—only devastation.

Bu Shiyi tilted her head, watching him go with a mix of curiosity and amusement.

What's up with him? Did he buy a dud?

"I didn't buy anything," Jiang Shengjun muttered when she asked. "I've got a question for the boss."

"Oh," Bu Shiyi replied simply, but her interest had been piqued.

She watched him approach Luo Chuan from a distance.

And the moment he got close?

Jiang Shengjun froze.

The air around Luo Chuan had a gravity to it, like approaching a dormant volcano—you never knew when it might erupt.

Suddenly, questioning the boss didn't feel like such a great idea.

Is this worth dying over?

But Luo Chuan had already noticed him.

"…Something wrong?" Luo Chuan glanced up lazily from whatever he was doing.

"Ahem, it's… it's nothing major," Jiang Shengjun replied with an awkward laugh.

Luo Chuan's expression remained unreadable. "If you're wasting my time, you'd better make it fast."

"R-right! Sorry!"

Jiang Shengjun flinched and blurted, "Boss, I just wanted to ask… why aren't there any technological weapons in the weapon sales space?"

That caught Luo Chuan's interest.

Among all the customers of Origin Mall, this was the first time someone had brought that up.

With a slight shake of his head, Luo Chuan replied calmly, "Currently, only spiritual weapons are available. As for the others… you'll need to wait a bit longer."

"…Oh. Got it."

Jiang Shengjun deflated on the spot.

There went his dream of running around with a shoulder-mounted cannon or blasting monsters with a railgun...

When Bu Shiyi overheard the exchange, she furrowed her brows in confusion.

Technological weapons?

Are those special items hidden in the Tower of Trials?

Like most customers, she'd never paid much attention to weapons outside of traditional spiritual ones. After all, those were already powerful enough.

But now?

She was intrigued.

Definitely going to try those later.

Bu Shiyi made a mental note.

Back in the main hall of Origin Mall, Jiang Shengjun didn't bother re-entering the weapon space.

There was no point.

If his dream gear wasn't there, he'd rather wait.

He could hold off until the tech-based arsenal made its debut.

Arena Mode — Tower of Trials

Bu Shiyi stood confidently on a raised platform.

In arena mode, any weapon could be tested freely after paying the entry fee.

But in challenge mode, you'd need to purchase the gear.

Naturally, smart customers would test compatibility and effectiveness in the arena before committing to a purchase.

With a glint in her eyes, Bu Shiyi summoned her chosen weapon.

Time to find out what all the fuss is about.
