"Where the fuck is he!?" Ivy came out from one of the caves, clearly agitated, eyes darting around frantically.
Daya stood up first, "Where is who?"
"Arc! Where is he?"
"What's going on? Maybe he's scanning the perimeter for threats. He usually does that," I supplied, trying to calm her down, but that only made her project her fear and anger onto us.
Daya and I held our heads, hissing in pain. "Ivy, control yourself! Why are you looking for Arc?" Regulus's voice sounded through the haze of pain, and she took in a deep breath, and the pain was gone. She didn't lose control like this.
We shared a look as she tapped her foot repeatedly, hands jittery, "Arc. He's afraid. The fear is strong. I can feel it."
She could feel emotions, but only when it's at a close distance, "How can you feel it?"
"Through the bond goddamit! The fucking bond is erratic. Where is he!?"
Bond? As in mate bond? They were mates. Even Regulus looked shocked by this. Fear? Why would he be afraid...?
