Chapter 605 - Chapter 605: When the End Finally Arrives

"That's Valkyrie's ship." Fat Thor stared at the vessel flying overhead, momentarily stunned.

He recognized it immediately. He had been "saved" by that ship when he first arrived here, spending half a day unconscious inside it.

Noah tilted his head, watching as the ship zipped away.

Since we've found her, should we move now? Catch her first?

"I think we should talk to her first." Noah's mental sense was already locked onto the ship, ready to teleport inside at any moment.

"What do you think?"

"I think..." Thor kept his eyes on the ship, silent for a while, before shaking his head.

"I think we should find Korg and Miek first. Since you've tagged her ship, she should be easy to track, right?"

"Pretty much." Noah nodded.

"She's our target. Of course I'd track her. But there's something you need to think about. I don't mind saving your friends, but there were a lot of slaves who helped you. How do you plan to move them?"

Noah recalled a detail.

After Thor left Loki on Sakaar, Loki had gathered a huge group of people to return to Asgard.

No one knew what happened to them-maybe Thanos killed them, maybe they left Earth-but a large number of people had helped in Asgard.

Fat Thor had a lot of people to take back. Far too many.

They couldn't all go through Noah's portal.

Even with his magic and the Space Stone, Noah couldn't handle that many. And even if he could, he didn't want to. He wanted to save time for himself.

To get these people out-to return them to Asgard-they needed another method.

Fat Thor realized this as well.

He frowned, thinking for a long time, before finally nodding with a grim expression.

He looked at Noah.

"Fine. You sorcerers are a headache. Tell me your idea. But if it's too much, I'll refuse."

"Refusing is pointless. You're not fighting me to help them." Noah grinned.

"Here's the plan. You find your friends and the ships. I'll take out the Grandmaster's people and draw their fire."

"Good idea. No problem." Fat Thor nodded immediately.

It really was a good idea.

Noah didn't know Thor's friends or where the slaves were kept.

Thor, who had spent a long time here, was the best choice for that. And a sorcerer like Noah was ideal for dealing with large numbers of guards.

Sorcerers had massive area-of-effect power. Fat Thor had seen that clearly in the Endgame.

The only thing that worried him was that his sorcerer friend didn't seem like the merciful type.

He had seen it with Thanos' minions, and with Thanos himself.

At the time, Thor hadn't minded. But watching Noah on the battlefield had been unsettling.

Combined with what he'd just seen, Thor was genuinely concerned that if Valkyrie joined the fight, she might be turned into spatial shards by one of Noah's spells.

"Wait. One more thing." After some thought, Thor decided to warn him.

"Don't... don't do anything to our mission target."

"I've already locked onto her, alright?" Noah rolled his eyes.

"How would that even happen? My magic won't touch her."

"What about splash damage?"

"Get out of here!"

After sending the annoying blabbermouth away, Noah walked toward the city.

His task was simple.

Drain the city's combat power and distract them for Thor.

That way, Thor could rescue his friends and locate the ships without interference.

The task was heavy, but not overwhelming.

As he approached the city center, dealing with a few scouts sent to investigate him, Noah looked up at the statues carved with the heads of arena champions.

Honestly, he didn't remember who most of them were.

The only one he should recognize wasn't even there.

He hadn't forgotten Dr. Banner at the Avengers base. The man was living comfortably on Earth.

Clearly, he hadn't come here for a "vacation."

Though Noah was curious about his current relationship with the Hulk.

"Whatever. I'll find out when I get back." Noah chuckled, glancing at the so-called "Hokage Rock," and let his magic surge.

At the same time, alarms blared throughout the city.

Civilians were thrown into panic.

Noah was a man of principle. He wouldn't attack civilians unless they attacked him.

So he deliberately triggered the alarms to give them time to flee.

Otherwise, he would have attacked without warning.

High-tech weapons immediately opened fire, colorful beams streaking through the sky.

They never reached him.

An invisible barrier stopped everything cold.

Explosions rippled in front of Noah, but caused no damage.

Watching civilians scatter through the city, Noah smiled.

A pale golden sphere-formed from three different elements-appeared in his hand.

If I really go to that other universe for Odin, will I do the same thing?

The next moment, the sphere slammed into the building housing the statues.

The explosion shook the entire city.

The structure was reduced to ash in an instant.

Noah felt refreshed.

Ships quickly surrounded him, but he didn't care.

The alarms were piercing, but oddly interesting.

It would be amusing if some background music like It's My Birthday suddenly started playing.

Noah wasn't that eccentric.

But his magic didn't stop.

With a single thought, his boiling power twisted the surrounding space.

Endless flames streaked out like meteors from every distorted angle.

For a brief moment, the sky looked like a fireworks show.

Strangely, there was no sound. Only the alarms echoed through the city.

In an instant, nearly all the attacking ships were gone.

Noah glanced at the burning wreckage and smiled.

Pale golden light flickered around him again.

As it flashed, Noah vanished.

The twisted space quickly stabilized, leaving behind only scattered debris.

The ships were destroyed. The pilots were dead.

Sakaar's technology was advanced, but it wasn't prepared for a sorcerer like Noah.

And Noah wouldn't give them time to prepare.

Everyone who witnessed this felt their heads throb.

Especially the high-ranking officials in the command center.

What was happening? Who was this man? Why was he attacking? Why was he this strong? Who had offended this sorcerer?

The questions churned endlessly.

Even the Grandmaster was stunned.

He had issued the orders. He had commanded the ships and the firing.

Everything was under his authority.

Now, he was the most embarrassed person in the room.

Honestly, he wanted to flee.

But Noah's sudden disappearance made him hesitate.

Had the sorcerer left? Or was he coming for him?

He didn't dare move.

Then-

A massive energy surge erupted outside the door.

It was exactly the same as when the ships were destroyed.

Overwhelming power.

No sound.

In the blink of an eye, the command center doors crumbled into fine sand.

A figure flickering with spatial energy stepped inside.

The sorcerer.

"Dammit!" The Grandmaster's scalp went numb.

He seriously suspected that someone-maybe himself, maybe someone else-had captured someone they never should have.

Otherwise, why would such a terrifying sorcerer appear and start attacking like he was facing a mortal enemy?

The moment Noah appeared, the guards rushed him.

Their bullets vanished midair.

Then the sorcerer glowed pale gold and casually waved his hand.

The guards shattered like glass.

The scene crushed everyone's spirit.

As if nothing significant had happened, the sorcerer slowly scanned the room.

At last, his gaze settled on the Grandmaster.

The Grandmaster swallowed.

It felt like... it was over.
